  1. Thanks for your replies. Sorry if i confused re loco address, I change the address of CV1 and then just enter the loco name / number into the ECoS description (I would like to know how to program long addresses... I will have a go at trying on a single length of track as you suggest. Thanks
  2. I looked at the roster and all my Locos (I don't have that many) have different addresses. But - I did change CV1 on the Hattons loco, just by 1 digit, just messing around, and Railcom activated, The symbol was shown on the ECoS screen and the green 'DCC ok' symbol came on. It recognised any Railcom enabled locos. However the next time I started the system up it did not display the Railcom symbol. It seems if I make an alteration to a CV setting on a Railcom Loco it 'fires up', but then forgets it next time...
  3. Thanks for your reply 55020, I will do this too.
  4. Thanks Nigel for your reply, typo on my behalf CV29 is 62. I don't have another Loco in the roster with the same running number. Understand re the Zimo decoder. I am also registered on the ESU forum so I might ask ESU if they know what's going wrong. As said previously it's not a major problem, but I would like to know why it did work and now doesn't!
  5. Checked the settings on my Hattons Clas 66 789 BR Loco: CV28 = 131 CV29 = 62 I did find the ESU Loksound Manual online and it says default CV28 = 131, and CV29 = 12. I haven't altered any CV's so not sure why CV29 on mine is 61. The Bachmann 158 with Plux22 decoder is made by Zimo and Railcom CV 28 = 3 Any help is appreciated.
  6. Yes will do tonight and come back to you. Thanks.
  7. Sorry for delay in coming back on this. Railcom & Railcom Plus are both enabled on my ECoS, as is Always Automatic Address Assignment, So still at a loss as to why it is not working...
  8. Thanks Ron, i will check later when I can get on the layout re Railcom plus
  9. Thanks very much all for your replies and information. I will have a play around when i get a chance and check the decoder CV's. I have checked the ECoS is Railcom enabled and Motoroller etc is disabled, and have installed the latest firmware. The Class 66's are the latest Hattons sound fitted so it should recognise them, and did originally auto register one, so I'm still a bit baffled on that one!
  10. I fitted a plux 22 Bachmann decoder and it is Railcom, so should be recognised, and the Hattons sound decoders are so it should recognise those too. I'm not sure about the sound fitted 158.
  11. Hi GoingUnderground, Thanks for your reply. Sorry i was not clear enough, The ECoS is the 50210, bought in 2017. The only issue is your second point, it will not auto register locos with railcom fitted decoders, however it did up until a couple of months ago, for example I purchased a Hattons sound fitted 66 and it auto registered it, I then purchased another and it did not. I also have the new Bachman 158 with plux22 decoder, and again failed to recognise it. I have checked that railcom is enabled, and downloaded the latest firmware, I will check the decoder CV's as your suggestion. Also there used to by a 'railcom' symbol on the screen when running a loco with railcom I think, that no longer comes up of course. It's not a massive issue, just an annoyance really, but it would be good to find out why it has stopped working, if possible, Thanks Reggie.
  12. Hi All, I have the ECoS DCC Controller and it has stopped recognising RailCom decoders on the layout. I have checked RailCom is enabled on the system. Anyone else had this issue or know what might be the problem? Thanks Reggie
  13. Yes - had the same problem with mine even in 128 speed steps you need to change CV150.
  14. Seems reading the comments on here Hatton's while trying to be innovative with the axles boxes shot them selves in the foot as they are the root cause of most issues. However i do think it is a stunning model still and glad I bought a couple, I may even get a third when my wallet recovers...
  15. This is what I found last night the model wouldn't run and i think a couple of axle boxes glued to the bogie frame - managed to free it up ok, but as you say should not go out like that.
  16. Well got my Cemex today, and everything looked great, but....wow was it hard to get moving! It just didn't want to know, as if something was siezed. I don't have rolling road so put one bogie on a gaugemaster wheel cleaner and it started to go, but it was reluctant! Eventually got it running ok. The axle boxes seem very tight in the bogie frames and seem to have more glue than previous batch, so i wonder if that was part of the problem. been running it light loco, and think i will for a few days to make sure everything frees up and beds in well. Also had a wobble at first but this seems to get less the more you run it.
  17. My thoughts exactly - Maybe had a batch ready sooner than expected and they could have decided to air freight a them over. Mine should arrive today, I was lucky with 66 789, had no issues at all, think it is a really great model, hope this is the same!
  18. Yes i was surprised too - wasn't expecting it until the end of the year - Hatton's have also sent my order yesterday for the Cross Country HST so my bank account has took a hammering!!
  19. Just had notification from Hatton's that my order for 66 780 GBRf Cemex has been processed - so they must have arrive earlier than anticipated, as delivery was not expected until late this year.
  20. Hi bart2day I've gone for battery operated with reed switch by layouts4U, easy to fit and work great. I've used the pick-up ones before and have found the wiring through the bogey can sometimes cause problems around curves etc.
  21. Most of them are the Hornby, as per your posts, was a doddle to take apart and I fitted the coach lights, the Lima one has not been attempted yet! Thanks again to you both for your help.
  22. Thanks very much for your help, much appreciated. I will hopefully have a go over the BH weekend.
  23. Thanks for your replies. It is the HST Coaches in LNER livery, so I assume the 'Limby' type.
