  1. Jeff P- I did it freehand,just as a joiner would scribe a line down a sheet of board,and then rounded off the corners to meet up with the straight lines-Keep looking at a photo till you get it right.
  2. Hi jeffp----I drew the out line, free-hand with a felt-tip marker pen(fine nib) till it looked right, then proceeded to cut with a coping saw then filed to the line. It is quite tough, so just take your time. Hope this helps---Rob

  4. Re FS axles, After the poor fitting,I made up dummy ones at 3/16" Iv'e tried them on the bushes of the A4 and they'll need reamered out to size,but will wait till they arrive.___Rob
  5. Here's the photo, like I said ,there was too much "flash" at where the handles were.Arrrrggghhhh!!-----Rob Seems photo's are too big,will try later.
  6. Rosspop-Received part 12 today and the water gauges are "not fit for purpose" (whitemetal" nothing like that shown in the magazine,tried e-mailing Hatchette but wasn't successful==OUCH?--Rob

  17. Inside frames ---Rob, is your tender from another source? I'm half expecting a "plastic tender" like the F.S, build.---Rob

  21. HI O.M,Phil, I did the F.S, there were a "few"issues with this model, plastic tender,whitemetal running gear,not good for motorising,I replaced all these and more in brass and it worked a treat,and it was sold
  22. Watch out for the little screws,when joining the boiler and skirts,over-tightening they can snap-off----Rob
  23. :scratchhead:Issue 5 ---access panels, dome cover ,and topstraps for the boiler, Just thinking,are we getting a plastic tender the same as F.S.?
  24. I've tried "Caustic Soda" mixed with water ,left it overnight and Wallah cleaned it up for me!----But be carefull !!!!
