  1. Worcester Model Railway Club meets on Tuesday & Friday evenings at the Horizon Hub, Midland Road, Worcester, WR5 1DS, 19:00 - 22:00hrs. We have our own  private layout/club room and are constructing both OO and N gauge layouts. We need new members, both experienced and novices alike. If you live locally and are interested in seeing what we are about,  pop along on a club night where you will be welcomed.

  2. Well in his reply to me, it seems it is politically motivated!!

    "Hello “Barry”;

Quite right, currently the UK is not fun to do business with. Like Switzerland. Or the USA.

But this has to do with general conditions - political, legal, econimal, administrative etc. But not with the people living there.

Hence my statements may be taken as aggressive to the administrations of these or other countries for making live less fun as necessary. But not as aggressive to the users living there."

  3. I just saw this extraordinary reply from Mr Freiwald who owns the TC company. This was to a UK customer querying the UK price increase on 1st Jan. It's on the TC forum. I have put my own reply but wondered what others thought of this?

    Here is his quote:

"By the way, in the future we will focus more and more on the countries where it is fun to sell our software or to work with users. And we will more and more withdraw from other countries. Fun before business. Before we decided to make the said changes for the UK it has been a serious alternative for us to withdraw completely from there."

  4. Rudy, you might have covered this somewhere in schedules & ive missed it?!

    1. If we have 2 different schedules using the same blocks, how can I get the trains to run at different speeds in the blocks for the different schedules?

    2. Is there a quick way to select several schedules to start them running together?

Your videos are fantastic Rudy. Please keep them coming! I'm looking forward to hearing the words, "Welcome to working with Train Controller video number 100!"

    Thank you.

  5. Hi all

Have just found this thread, brilliant stuff. Getting ready to start putting it all together for my own turntable.

Just one thing tho' at the beginning, (post #8 ) the wiring diagram for the DCC - Arduino interface shows a reset switch but in the following photo's there's no sign of one or mention of one in the parts list.

Any switch will do really. Just connect it as shown to the 2 terminals.

This was my first attempt at a electronic circuit - it went better than I thought!

  6. I'm happy that the interface is built ok and all wires going to it are ok.

My problem seems to be centred around DCC as when I do the DC monitor test all the figures are zero.

It scrolls ok but it's just scrolling packets of zero.

When I run it through part 6 - it stops at the reference point but I can't budge it using the handset set to access 200 c or t

The digitrax system doesn't seem to recognise it.

I think I need a way to program the interface as accessory 200 from the digitrax handset - but that doesn't seem possible!

  7. Hi Ray,

Yes, I should have realised - it's for that read out thingy!!

No, I'm still struggling to get the DCC interface working. I've disconnected it and I'm just checking over it.

Also, not sure if the hall sensor is working? I'm using the same sensor as you but a smaller magnet (as its N Gauge)

Does it matters it's facing N or S pole to the sensor?

    Excuse my poor knowledge!

  8. When I try to run Jonathon's sketch, I get an error message:

    From Clipboard:

Any ideas please - it's gobble de to me!
