My web-cam's gone funny.A1BWs.jpg
Nice modelling and great weathering!

just through teignmouth

Is this a warning about Brian the Quadcopter coming in for a close-up shot?
Either that or bits flying off the machine because it hasnt been serviced.
-
Here we are struggling to reach page 100 before normal service resumes and Captain Kernow and his Orange Army have left us to it. Just Gary H left helping us.
-
I bow to your superior foresight. (Which takes us ever closer . . . !)

(I know that some Dutch want to be Belgian and vice-versa, but aren't they all happy in the EU? - Ask Nigel!)
If you two neighbours don't start being nice to each other, the U.S.will probably threaten sanctions or send in bombers. Behave!
p.s. my wife is Belgian!

A road transporter has just appeared in Teignmouth backyard, so I guess the people carrier I photographed earlier may be leaving for pastures new. Lots of lights flashing on the transporter and orange bods around.
Its the Quattro digger thingy that is going.
Pretty soon there will only be beach combing left to do inTeignmouth with all these 'thingies' leaving town.
-
NR don't look after the safety of the orange army traveling on the people mover ,loose seats and NO seat belts but its still a brilliant answer to moving the army when on their allotted tasks so as they can eat a pasty and read a paper.
I wonder which RM Web member will scratchbuild the 1st model of it?

The gluing works well but its expensive. To glue 30 chain at Dawlish cost £275'000, or £2000 a drum.
Im in the wrong job.
Is it ballasted in layers to ensure drainage or ballasted and then glued?
-
It does show over 100 pages at my end but my version retains all the removed posts from earlier punch-ups.
We are working on it! Off out to take some night shots

but first passenger somewhere around 5am ish,
according to the poster,
sorry cant remember who it was
If I remember rightly it was the 05.51 (ish) ex PaigntonEDIT
Obviously I am wrong judging by the next post.
-
Which is basically what I said on page 94
Now, now you Dutch & Belgian boys, keep your territorial disputes off of here. Page 100 will be reached, crossed fingers.

More heavy plant has been roaded out of Teignmouth rear yard last night and today. The station front carpark remains full with white vans though, so work is still ongoing.
-
I think many people are going to be disappointed tomorrow if there is no ribbon cutting, no celebrity and no steam train. Dawlishians seem to have listened to the gossip mongers.

It just does not look right without the big red spidery thing! I wonder where it is now?
Gone to seek further important work. Should be installed at York really.

Whats wrong with a bit of fun all those who complain about it seem to be missing something in their life I think.[/quot
I can understand Missy point but how could you reply to a posting if you felt it needed a bit of a laugh and you were not allowed to
because humour wasnt allowed.

Apologies for having a bit of fun... I suggest we all immediately return to being serious and interesting.
Actually, I've spotted a flaw with that idea, as I'm neither of those things... Wibble.
Edit: if you're just after facts and progress reports, you could try the Network Rail website. I've heard they're serious and interesting...
Lifeboatman have you ever read the HSE or the Political Correctness sites? ..............zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hi.
This has been the most frustrating thread on RMWeb ever! I was really interested in seeing how the repairs on the track (as I know the place well) but continue to find myself having to wade through pages and pages of nothing but waffle to find the interesting bits. Its been about 90% waffle of no substance and 10% of things that have actually been informative, things like links to the webcams and the fantastic pictures by CK have been lost amongst talk about pasties, cricket, and animated gifs! Its exactly why I dont like threads...
Missy
Judging by the variety of replies on here and looking at the profiles of the contributers, which to me seem to be very varied ie across the board in ages, professions, interset etc etc It indicates that most people/ contributers have enjoyed the thread.
If you look at the postings and then look at the 'funny', 'like', 'agree', 'informative' indicators that they have been given I think that again indicates that the thread has been enjoyable.
At the end of the day we can probably all find something not so agreeable in many many threads. But if we can get something useful out of a thread then it was all worthwhile.
I personally dont need to know that my tender has 1 rivet too few, BUT, someone else may care!
-
No!
Fairly definite 'no' there. I guess CK doesnt now and never would drive a megane.
ps. No comment on that pasty van though!
-
All these references to CK ..... I have to remind myself every time that we are not talking about a Corridor Composite here
So its not a CK mark 1. Its a CK Tim 1.

Gwiwer, as we talked of the sea wall the other week, there are 3 areas where the bottom of the wall has been attacked by the sea and needs repairs to the (kind of) stepped ledge. Beach was free of debris now except for some branches.
