the Nanking blue, flushglazed Pullman DMU was also sold as a later release with full wraparound yellow ends and a vanishingly rare version of this from about 1967 has white windows, yellow ends and a body in BR Monastral blue. this was a factory production error and about 350 were made with only a single documented survivor, according to the Triang Collectors club

I think I have one of those. I have several Midland Pullman sets and one of them is definitely darker in colour. I'll have a look when I get time,

I'm not sure what was the reasoning behind the revised body introduced in 1981; there must be lots wrong with this one but I think in essence it still says "Britannia" so that'll do for me.

The body of Morning Star is slightly longer to make it scale length, than that of the Britannia's before it

The final Princess issues from 1974 were a gloss black and gloss green version that harked back to the early days, as a way of commemorating the end of production. The black one came in a train set and as an individual item; whilst the green one I've only seen as an individual item. They had the late chassis and gloss lacquered bodies but had simplified valve gear and a gold foil printed 'Lion on Wheel' tender emblem, plus the 'Steamsound' feature.

The 'new' Princess issues in 1984 came with the small Fowler tender in LMS guise and with the larger Stanier tender in BR guise - although it used many common items from the Ringfield-era models parts bin it had nothing in common with the original Princess.

There was also a gloss red Princess Victoria along with the green and black ones.

    Hi Compound1000,

Thanks for your question regarding photos of our Pre-Owned items.

We’ve recently adopted a new policy whereby our product experts identify items that have been traded in to us which are in extremely good/mint condition. As these items are defect free, there is no need to include an image of them out of the box.

This helps us more rapidly process through these kinds of items and then allows us to allocate additional resources to the more time consuming items which do require further investigation and photography.

We still have our comprehensive returns policy in place in the unlikely event that you do experience an issue with a Pre-Owned item that you have purchased from us.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    Dave

This being the only picture. How can this fall under your new policy of extremely good/mint, so no need to take out of the box, when you can't even see the model?

  5. There are still plenty of Vauxhalls that haven't been produced yet, Viva Ha and HC, Firenza, Victor FA, FC, CD, FE. Ventura, Chevette, Mk1 and Mk3 Cavalier, various Astra's. Carlton's and Royale. Not to mention CF vans and later models.

Limited Edition of 499 now if that picture is anything to go by!

If you can source a front bogie, there is nothing wrong with it and it has already sold.
