Greta work as usual Allan. A bit of Bentley 'C'Arnage.

Happy New Year Allan. Have just been catching up on the stunning models you have managed to create while I was eating too much ham. Magnificent station and hotels. Also very impressed with your new website.

Excellent work as usual Allan. Particularly like the window boxes and planters and the grass growing in the paving, the grain and colour of the timber in the sea wall, the colour and shape of the steps, ....

Hi Shaun
Excellent that things have been running smoothly at the show. Loved the photograph of the repainted wall on the previous page (waiting for the more....) - it took me back to my last visit to Goathland and I remembered I had taken this photograph which shows what a great job you have made of the layout.

Allan, those steps are outrageously good and I like the diagonal match-boarding and the simple pedestals below the windows . When first married we painted our bathroom walls that Kermit colour. Several years later (long after we had sold the house) we had the opportunity to go back into it - the only thing that had changed at all was the colour of those bathroom walls.

Happy Birthday Allan! I missed a few days and you have had a birthday, stuck 12000 tiles onto a magnificent church and scanned a bunch of amazing photographs of what would have been/is an incredible layout (loved the buildings, especially the engine shed and the enclosed footbridge across the station). It would take me 80 years to achieve all of that.
I agree about the 20 footers; personally I have found that building up a modular layout and finishing one section at a time is a good way to keep wanting to build more.

Hi Shaun
Superb finish on the airbrushing. I wonder if you could try a thin white/brown wash over one as an experiment and then some weathering?
We undertook a complete renovation of our kitchen last year (with some professional help with the cabinets and electrics) which was a mammoth job. But it has certainly been well worth the effort, both aesthetically and also functionally. You look like you are rounding the bend into the home straight now.
Best wishes

Not content with just being a master model maker, I see you have mastered the camera and the weather - superb photographs.
Cheers John
P.S. Because of what you used for the finials I expect fittings are falling off the family bathroom wall.

More congratulations!
I hope the visitors from down-under behaved themselves and didn't mention the ...

I am also expecting to watch a fair bit of the rugby...

Wonderful photographs Andy. I really like the grass/weeds in the sidings. Will you be able to "reach over" to the storage yard with a track cleaner on a stick etc?

I really enjoyed watching your wonderful video Adrian - it shows off all the hard work to great effect.

Superb. Great level of 'wonk' in that cafe roof! The ivy up the walls and the small hedges really add to it as well.
-
Wonderful photos Al, really great depth on some of those shots.
-
Looking very good! The new camera also makes the sky nice and blue. I can;t remember - did the original build have the porch?
-
That looks superb Adrian, wonderful lighting in those photographs!
-
Great progress Al, really enjoyed watching the video - the second to last DMU looked particularly superb coming around the corner in front of the back-scene with its lights on.
-
Magnificent layout Allan, packed with atmosphere and skill - good luck finding Robinson up north.
-
Nice work Al. While the white-washed wall has a certain charm, adding these back scenes will bring it all together. I really like your idea of having free-standing panels that you can move out of the way to photograph and get access from the outer edge.
-
The roof and guttering look great - excellent colour variation on the tiles.

It's a Colron Dye factory - that is what the superb tank is meant to hold. Excellent work as usual - those last couple of photos show it off wonderfully.
-
Nice work Allan - great to see your wonderful buildings all together in a scene. I particularly like the curved platform, the wonderful work on the ventilator on top of the goods office and the back-scene too!

Fantastic job on the bridge Al, I thought the previous photograph through the bridge was excellent but the new stonework and paint makes a it even better and I love the way you painted the tractor and cars - great photographs too.

Great stuff Allan, I am away for a few days and things have gone up to a whole new key I didn't know existed! I was completely fooled by the derelict station 008 photograph.
