    But what colour was it.

Sorry, if that's a serious question I can't remember what exact livery it was in then. Apparently it had a drive failure quite soon after.

  2. Glad to hear you're feeling better Annie. I normally don't ever remember my dreams. I did this morning, although it wasn't exactly exciting as it was all about getting paperwork in order. A strange kind of dream but I was in hospital and hadn't slept for over 39 hours. I was in because of complications after my bout of Covid. Staff were wonderful but I spent 12 hours waiting to get onto a ward. I was lucky, I was in a single side room for over half that time. Now convalescing at home, your thread always cheers me up, so keep up the good work. Nice new wagons, lovely teak effect.

As far as software goes, I also use DesignSpark Mechanical. My reason is I got used to SolidWorks during my time in school and college, and I find it is very similar. I also find it's easy to use, especially if youre following an engineering drawing, as when you draw a shape, you can enter the dimensions you want, likewise when extruding a shape.

Do you know if it is 'Parametric', that is, can you go back and alter dimensions and all the elements will rearrange themselves to take account of the changes? An example of a Parametric' program is FreeCAD.

  4. On the Swiss lines from Brigg there is a rock near a tunnel entrance called Victoria's rock as it is said to resemble the profile of Queen Victoria.

Re the cloud formation:- Queen Elizabeth II was of course a committed Christian so maybe God was gently calling his faithful servant home.

  5. There are some good videos on YouTube about stringing and also how to improve definition of prints. I have a cheap Aldi rebranded FDM printer and when I showed someone who also had a Resin printer he was very impressed with the quality and definition I am able to get. I use the supplied 0.04 nozzle. I am using the latest Cura slicer and have tweaked a lot of settings (after having enabled them).

  6. I have the set of two SMS boards (designed to be joined as one) that fit in the 77ltr Really Useful Christmas Tree box. They are a snug fit in the box. There is enough space below the baseboard to fit point motors etc. The backscene height is enough for a tall building. I haven't started to make the layout yet though.

I found the cheapest place for the Really Useful Christmas Tree box was from Argos - £30 when I got it.

  7. Apparently there is a new culture of doing "The bare minimum" at work emerging. Blamed on lockdown, I experienced this with a colleague back in 2003. He openly told me that is what he did, I was left to do all the work he should have done. It prompted me to look for another job, I got one with much better pay and conditions.

I now work two jobs which has its downsides - both jobs would like me to do more work than I can fit in. Has stopped me modelling for the last 8 months.

A variant of dead cat bounce?

But as you said, “ruining” was an important addition.

Whenever I have seen a job advert saying they need candidates to “hit the ground running” I know that things are in a real mess…

I was not commenting on Regularity's post but my own incompetence of not being able to delete a wrong post
