Evening all . . .Easington Colliery held a MINER'S PICNIC today on the site of the old colliery . . .and very good it was too . . although, being so close to the North Sea, it cooled down as the afternoon wore on. Beer tent was . . . not good. I'll say no more. Music was excellent . .A couple of local (North-East) acts . Mt up with a "marra" and a few acquaintances. . . . and managed to avoid a cousin even though eldest "dowta" told her I was on site. . . A good day with no rain. . . . Keep smiling, everyone. John
