Buffer Lock, and coupling lock has caused us all sorts of problems on our exhibition layout. After trying all sorts from plate to wire to proprietary tension, we have now standardised on Kay dee couplings. We find these are brilliant, and cause a minimum of problems during a weekend exhibition.

We have built an Exhibition Layout, Ashdan Junction, (videos on youtube), 17ft x 8ft. Its a double track layout with sidings. The loco control is all DCC and most locos are sound fitted. Every section of track has droppers to bus bars, split into 6 areas. All points are controlled by separate circuits with traditional circuits, with seep point motors, powered by Gaugemaster Transformers. We run up to 4 locos at any one time, with standby locos in the fiddle yard. The DCC system is built from a Roco Digital Starter Set, consisting of power supply 10764, feeding 4 off Multimaus Red Controllers. We are finding Locos tending to cut out, and the glass overloads light up. I believe we need to increase the power to the layout. can we just add another 10764, or do we need another unit. We purchased a 10765, but according to the instructions, we need to rewire the track. We are not electronic experts and any help would be appreciated. x paul x
