  1. I agree, especially with the timetable on view on the WSR so you can drop in when a train is due. Lucky dip at Buckfastleigh: only the LT pannier busy today. The WSR Spring Gala was worth following, but a catch up on utube was necessary to get up close afterwards!! There must be some therapy as you say for this condition - eSpotting!
  2. I signed up for access to the free Railcam feeds- here is a screenshot of the available locations, most of which are heritage railways. I don’t think you gain a lot more by subscribing £18 a year! Also a moment from yesterday’s extravaganza on WSR.
  3. There must be a name for this new activity. Could it be e-Spotting ? It’s worth signing up to be able to spy on other heritage railways, but it’s a pity the Bluebell is not on the list. At least WSR feed can display the timetable on the same page so you know when to pop back.
  4. This armchair train spotting is fun, a bit like an ANTB video, but there is an lot of watching empty platforms and waiting. Not all the cameras have sound though, so you can’t hear the train coming!
  5. Indeed! I was wondering whether there was some logic to which side the coupling should be stowed- it does appear to be quite random on some classes, but the majority seem to dress to the left. I presume there was a stowage hook attached to each buffer. A lovely picture to remember Ben Brookbank by.
  6. That’s a really neat build in plasticard. What adhesive did you use to attach the microstrip timbers to avoid the dreaded plasticard warp? As you built it e long time ago you seem to have avoided any distortion.
  7. My daughter, who grew up in the erstwhile County of Avon, worked for Max Factor married a man called Max, producing a son, so the Fact is confirmed. All true! The proper use of Talcum powder is to produce a matte finish when added to gloss paint.....
  8. I watched this go by at closing time at Buckfastleigh today - I’m grateful for the heads up on these webcammy thingys.
  9. Here’s your 4-4-2 tank in proper SR green taking Pullman cars to Epsom Downs on Derby Day, - probably, as before to Tattenham Corner station. I don’t think the horses were allowed in these coaches.
  10. Here is Epsom Downs on a race day , ( image : Lens of Sutton Assosciation - I used to shop there in the 50s) Some horseboxes duplicated and a lovely Mogul!
  11. We need some hanging to the left as well as to the right ( suits you sir! ) so perhaps an opportunity for 3D printing- there must be a market for them.
  12. The horses have put in a request for nosebags while they wait for loading over lunchtime. As always captivating pictures of your work.
  13. Me? Grumpy? I wonder if you could be so kind as to let 1848 move forward just a little bit, as long as no rules of movement are broken, so we can admire its motion. Sleepless in Somerset
  14. I’m a bit worried about 1848: it hasn’t moved for several days. Could it be that the siphon behind it is running on the wrong bogies?
