  1. Thank you for the replies. I have found out that 'pitted' was a typo and meant 'fitted'. However as I said previously I could only find a blanking plate where the chip was supposed to be and there was no speaker so I have been promised a full refund. Shame really because I liked the model.
  2. I have acquired what was described as a Hornby OO gauge Class 37 diesel locomotive, 97301, Network Rail, with TTS sound (decoder pitted), R3289TTS. Can anyone explain what 'decoder pitted' means please? As far as I can see there is no decoder anyway, just a blanking plate.
