I tried asking AI to add some scenery to this picture I took on my embankment as I'm lacking in scenics at the moment.

Serves me right for trying to be clever.

The 2nd one just needs some tatoos to go with the facial piercings.

  2. Wow! What a model. It really is stunning. In real life its even more impressive than in the photo. I've just ordered a coal sector one as these are just too good not to.

Huge congratulations Cavalex on a masterpiece and a work of art.

As I said when you made that assertion above, they are already listed as Q1 2023 on the projects status page:

Don’t know why I bother sometimes.

Fran, it's remarkable and breathtaking the new lease of life and realism you've brought into model railways. Many thousands and more are incredibly grateful, including myself.

    A big THANKYOU from me.

Same here, I ordered six packs and unfortunately they all came in one small Jiffy bag, only two pairs of figures are complete, the rest are missing arms or hands, the hands are especially vulnerable being so fine, but I feel they could have been packed a lot better, the bag just got squished in transit I guess.

Perhaps those figures could be used to fill up your model railway's disability quota. Equal opportunities for all, including small model people.

  5. I've just bought 3  'new' Hornby mark 2es, 2nd class and there are noticeable dips around each of the mould injection points in the roof. Has anyone else had thus problem? The first class ones seem ok.

  6. I've opened my 5 car set up. I haven't got a railway as of yet to run it on. The paint work and glazing are spot on - as good as I've seen on any model. I just hope, when I eventually run it, that I don't have the electrical problems.

  7. Received mine and I'm really impressed, aside from the capacitor position. They look fantastic - excellent finish, colours and shape and the glazing/windows really excellent. The only other thing is the pantograph which I'm scared to raise. The body work though is truly excellent.

  8. Just received 4 Bachmann Swallow livery units. It may just be mine, but the paint on the stripes isn't as good as on the executive ones as there are faint bleeds into the next colour and each stripe isn't so well defined because of this. For £80 a piece I'm going to have to return them which is a shame.

For heavens sake.  The Accurascale Mk2b models shown are first engineering prototypes with deformed bogie frames. Some of the posts here are generally hinting at Accurascale's vehicles being right, whe nyou are suggesting they are made wrong to match up to other manufacturers products. This is not how Accurascsale work, so just be patient.  You don't have to buy them after all

I really agree with you. Some people aren't happy unless they have something to moan about. These models look absolutely fantastic at a great price too considering all the features.

  10. Have visited Chester Cathedral today to see the layout and it's superb. And the Apt looks absolutely terrific live. Photos don't really do it justice - the paint job especially, detail and window surrounds look amazing. For anyone who's ordered this, like myself, has a lot to look forward to. BTW, lights in all carriages too. It looks quite a stunning model.

Great photos, they really do look great.  To think just a few years back we were being told electrics don't sell and we'd never get modern standard models, and yet here we are.

Just had the e-mail to say mine are in the back of a courier van en-route to the shed here in Wales.  Wednesford 1966, 1970 and 1974, here we come.  As soon as they are chipped I'll have a go at doing some video.

My credit card is now lying down in a nice cell decorated with Laura Ashley Broadmoor Collection padded wallpaper awaiting therapy but I'm sure it'll recover.

Same here. I've put off my remortgage application to do some much needed work for 4 months. With my orders for the class 86, APT and class 55 I'm knackered. But I don't regret it at all. I can live with my house being delayed, but I don't want to miss out on the any of the trains I've been dreaming of for years.

20210423_131331.jpg.4816db8f0dedb23f31e84105ea105001.jpgHi chaps, here are some photos:

I'm over the moon with this. It's the 86 I was dreaming of many years back. The photos look descent but it's terrific in the flesh.

I'd say possibly my favourite out of the ac models on par with the 90. It has some nice weight too and feels like it'll do the business.

The weathering really brings out the bottom half really well - the detail is outstanding- looks very realistic and truly super detailed. (

The panto and electrics on top are the most realistic compared to other ac releases as they don't look plastic.

The buffer beam detail and front are spot on and I really like that the details are there from the off.

Only tiny thing to say is the weathering which is still really good; on the sides I manipulated just a few bits with my thumb and it's fine. I'm really fussy and would have returned it if it was anything more than a minor point, but the fronts look great with their weathering especially.

Most of all, to me, it looks right; it says class 86 with conviction. It really is a fine and lovely model.

My rake of Mark 2As (Intercity) have heart-shapes in their eyes as they have the ideal partner to pull them and be seen with on nights out.

Really, really impressed and over the moon. I'm not a rivet counting expert, but I am fussy too; can't wait for the 86/4 batch.

Well done Heljan! Fantastic work. Many years of dreaming are now reality (as an 80s ac enthusiast).
