Absolutely brilliant Model Allan, but one very small critisism.... If the mill is wrecked why are there no broken windows ????

As a Grimbarian ... Born and Bred I have to agree wholeheartedly with Allan when he says the town has declined over the years but on the whole we know how to laugh and smile at ourselves as well as laugh at others. Grimsby train station would be a great model for you to make Allan and as that would probably only be a short afternoons work for you. Maybe a model of the town hall /municiple offices and the old Registry office building might keep you busy for an extra couple of hours. ??? Personally i would love to see these replicated in your own unbelievable way..

As many people here have commented I am totally in awe of the work done by Allan Downes and others. All I can hope is that my work when it appears is maybe half as good as the worst of what I have seen in this thread.And there isn't a lot of 'bad ' work shown at all. Thanks for inspiring me and please dont stop showing us mere mortals how to do these things THANKS.

How about a scale model of Grimsby Minster. (St James church) or has that been done before ????

I have just taken the time to go through this whole thread and there are no words suitable to express what I think of the quality of ALL the submissions. I am just starting out on this modelling lark at the tender age of 51 and if I ever get to make something approaching half as good as the worst one here (and it would be very difficult to say which that is ) then I will be a happy man. Well done to everyone.
