  1. Introducing OO gauge retaining wall system New range of parts and bundles of retaining walls is now available! Designed to be quick and easy to assemble but provide very good looking retaining walls. The range includes: LCC B 00-25 retaining wall unit http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=B%2000-25&title=B%2000-25 LCC B 00-25 T-pack retaining wall triple pack http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=B%2000-25%20T-pack&title=B%2000-25%20T-pack LCC B 00-26 retaining wall communication tunnel http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=B%2000-26&title=B%2000-26 LCC B 00-25 retaining wall tunnel portal http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=B%2000-27&title=B%2000-27
  2. The length of LCC 00-79 is 91mm. In whole on the deck you will have about 149mm (length) by 91mm (width) space for the track. Here is the picture of a single section of the retaining wall. We also are preparing two entrances, small communication tunnel and double track tunnel entrance. As you can see we have managed to get it to slop back a little bit as a lot of retaining walls do. We are almost ready to release it. You could curve it on the seams between sections. This would give you the complete look but may not be suitable for smaller radii. Or you could assemble it without most of the recess by glueing the back directly to the arch. You could still slope it with the supports and then curve evenly. Here is picture of a short section painted. Not the greatest paint job, I have went a little too heavy on the black. There are also some big ish areas where it flooded the mortar (my impatience). All I did was applied heavy white coat, heavy dry brushed the brickwork (why it flooded on me) and then blackened some sections a little bit (inspired by a photo of similar retaining wall I found).
  3. I will be following that challenge, it sounds really interesting! We don't have brick sections like this but it won't a problem to make them. We could modify the parapet element, lower it to 22 courses and add interlocking to both sides. We are also working on retaining walls system at the moment. They will include an overbridge entrance as well. I will post a picture of the prototypes shortly if that could be of interest to you.
  4. Hi Dungrange, LCC 00-78 will give you 79mm wide overbridge and LCC 115mm wide overbridge. Its not exactly half. Not a strange question at all! I actually think this is interesting way of using it. You could use the double deck version and split it in half which I think would work better. Then you don't need to glue the deck together as it is already in two parts. At the moment we do not have internal walls. The supports and corners that come with it can be omitted. If you glue the whole building to a base plate it will then strengthen it. You will be able to see the joining lines inside but that can be solved by using a thick paint with some texture (think of it like plastering a wall to even it out). Then that will give you a smooth surface inside.
  5. We will be adding the supports to relevant O gauge kits from now on and I will update website to include them shortly as well. All OO guage kits are already coming with support kits and corner kits. We have tried making it work without the support kits but they are now being added to O gauge kits.
  6. Thanks for spotting it! I will correct it.
  7. Hi, Great to hear everything arrived safe and sound! We always do our best to dispatch everything as soon as it is possible.
  8. Hi Barnaby, I was worried that they may need some supports. We have ananged to assemble it without them but I have prepared corner supports for O gauge. I am going to put them in the post for you today if you want.
  9. Hi, The overbridge is for road over rail bridge. It can also be used an entrance to a tunnel with embankments. I will look into the culvert headwall and wingwalls for you. I will reply to this thread when I have something to show you. Bricks chipping off is sadly the disadvantage of the material we use. If have a few of them coming off on a cut line I usually glue them back. Or if I have them starting to come of on the surface I just run some glue over them and it fixes it. I never had bricks coming of in the middle of brickwork but I paint or varnish that penetrates the material will help them stay on. Will add the hyperlink in a second.
  10. Introducing O gauge lineside warehouse and office Highly anticipated warehouse in low relief version is here! http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=B%2070-02&title=B%2070-02 In addition to the warehouse we are introducing the warehouse office with basement in two version with left and right side stairs. http://http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=B%2070-03L&title=B%2070-03L http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=B%2070-03R&title=B%2070-03R
  11. Hi Barnaby, Thank you for posting this, it indeed may be of intrest to a lot of people. Now that I saw this I am considering creating a little frequently asked question section on our website.
  12. Hi everybody! We have almost finished the warehouse now! Sorry for the slight delay from promised mid week release. Here are few pictures as a sneak peak. We will be releasing all the parts on Sunday and the warehouse in low relief version bundle will follow shortly.
  13. Introducing O gauge small single track engine shed A popular bundle in OO gauge is now available in O gauge! Following the theme of adding little improvements wherever possible the gates now have additional metalwork elements and the access door can be opened. http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=B%2070-01&title=B%2070-01 In addition to the engine shed we also added an extension bundle for B 70-01. Extending your engine shed has never been so easy! http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=B%2070-01E&title=B%2070-01E We are now also putting finishing touches to the warehouse. We have test parts cut out and we will be introducing it in the middle of the week!
  14. Introducing OO gauge fences We would like to introduce a simple but extensible fencing solution in OO gauge. Composed of two main parts LCC 00-90 - extension fence and LCC 00-91 - end unit. LCC 00-91 can be used as a standalone unit or it can be extended indefinitely with LCC 00-90. http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=LCC%2000-90&title=LCC%2000-90 http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=LCC%2000-91&title=LCC%2000-91 We also introduced two types of gates; LCC 00-92 - small gate and LCC 00-93 - level crossing gate. http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=LCC%2000-92&title=LCC%2000-92 http://lcut.co.uk/index.php?product=LCC%2000-93&title=LCC%2000-93
  15. Hi everybody, We have been working on getting the parts ready in O gauge. I have a preview of the engine shed that we will be releasing in O gauge. We have done it first to work out all the kinks in the parts before we move on to something bigger and more exciting. Warehouse to follow! What do you think?
  16. Hi, Sorry but we are not planning on making matching windows for products from other producers. We are focusing on our own lines of products at the moment.
  17. Hi David, Thank you for your feedback! Glad you liked the kit. 1. We certainly could include the usual part we use for chimney pots/pipes and add a note in the instructions that it can be used to add a simple metal flute pipe. 2. I will see what I can do. I have an idea for a simple "overbridge" you sometimes see going over the linkages. It could be an interesting detail to add to the signal boxes. Thank you again for the feedback I really appreciate it! Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you!
  18. Can't wait to see how you did it! I will notify you as soon as we have the parts ready.
  19. Hi Barnaby, We are happy to tweak the designs to make them more suited for particular region. Do you have any specific details that you would like us to look at? We are not making any yard crane supports at the moment but I can look into it for you. Generally rescaling from OO to O involves the scaling itself and then tweaking to make it work better with the scale. We also are adding some details to the parts like the window frames that will be coming with the individual windows. We believe small touches like this are going to improve the parts/kits. We are aiming at having the warehouse ready within 2 weeks. We will be then introducing more small or reference kits in O. We will also introduce low relief versions of some of the bigger buildings. Please do continue to use email if you prefer it! Apologies I did not realise it was you I missed the part where you said you posted on RM forum!
  20. We started working on some parts in O gauge for warehouses and industrial buildings. Following pictures are a sneak peak:
  21. Glad to hear they arrived safe and sound! We will be working on different kinds of arches for retaining walls soon which will have interlocking sides. We could have couple of different versions to suit different styles.
  22. We are currently working on this kind of roof in OO gauge and we will rescale it to O gauge as well. To be exact we are working on a Northlight style roof for one of the engine sheds and that could be adapted if different pitches are needed.
  23. Thank you! Can't wait to hear what you thought about them. We will be making more arches soon. Sadly I can say for now we cannot introduce any other bonds. They don't work with the interlocking system we use. If we find a solution to the problem we have we will definitely introduce new brick bonds!
  24. Hi Barnaby, Great to hear they arrived safe and sound! Apologies for the mistake in the manual it have been now corrected. We thought about rescaling signal boxes first into O gauge but we may introduce warehouse/industrial parts first. We will also see what we can do about the general building materials for platforms and etc.
  25. Thank you Barnaby! I can't wait to hear what you think about them when you had a chance to play with them. What would you like to see released in O gauge in near future?
