For all you jokesters, Ive been growing out my hair for over a year and its down past my shoulders. So nothing to be embarrassed about, but hair is a pain to work with, and Im doubting my efforts as sewing thread is too coarse, and I cant see all the work I put into stringing with hair.

So much for cheap rigging. i may have to just go buy microfilament.

Scalelink does not have wheels suitable for a Jinty.

I understand its not personal. But where else can I buy loco wheels that I dont have to worry about quartering.

  10. It seems my London Road Jinty is lost in the post.

  11. Would love to do some actual modeling. Too bad I have absolutely nothing to do.

  12. I hate buisnesses that dont honor the responsibilities of running a buisness.

  13. Why must Humbrol enamel take hours to dry? Testors are dry in minutes. It really puts a damper on progress when a tiny touchup takes hours to dry.

Testors are easy to find, and rarely give me issues. Though I have had issues with "matt" blacks being satin.

Vallejo would be interesting to try.

I have testors paints for my main colour range. I had to buy humbrols for certain colours to complete a airfix swordfish, which I have just picked back up and plan to finish

  16. Note to Hornby: Loco drive should no longer be a 'special feature' of a model

  17. Managed to cut my fingers while cleaning a deli slicer today. At least it was off at the time.

  20. Decals for a plane. Ughhh.

  21. Planning a 2 foot long shunting layout. Yes..very restricting.

  22. Even a broken iron wont stop my progress. Soldering with a butane lighter is interesting.

Yes Im very out of frame, and my voice is terrible. But a demonstration nonetheless.

Admittedly its not for building kits, but soldering corners for strength, sweating parts together, or just doing something where an iron wont go. Fire is your friend.

Just flux. A bit of solder, and hold to flame. Melts and flows rather well. Got very good results fitting bearings to w iron springing. If you want a video, Ill try to record one and post to youtube. I have an hour or so free tonight.
