  1. Thanks, Ken. Yes twin Lok 4s fitted by Charlie and Biff's sounds. I've had many DCC sound loco's but this is in a league of its own. Very loud, clear sound, enhanced with the cooler fans and coach wail.

  4. Class 37's double heading thrash and turbo whine. http://youtu.be/NUki6gAE49A
  5. Understood Paul. I can only assume that the wheels that should take them are slightly shorter in circumference, which in turn would lead to erratic running if they're not fitted I presume?
  6. According to this http://www.newmodellersshop.co.uk/service_sheets/hss-221d-eurostar.pdf The wheels are meant to have them fitted as standard?
  7. They do not no. Thanks. I'll have to get a motor fitted to the rear power car instead. Hopefully that'll do the trick.
  8. I'm having major will slip because of the amount of coaches unfortunately, despite having both bogies powered. I've ordered some traction tyres as there are none fitted.
  9. Many thanks, Paul. I have spoken to Bif and the improvements since are very minimal, not enough for the postage costs for a reblow. I'm hoping that he still has the raw footage and will, as you say, produce a set for V4. It's quite obvious the sounds, although on a V4 were made for V3.5.
  10. Eurostar, sounds by the legendary Legomanbiffo. I have two standard round, enclosed speakers installed, one in each power car and was wondering if I may benefit from installing a couple of subwoofers also, or just replacing for subwoofers? The current speakers are very loud but a touch tinny. I've also drilled lots of holes in the chassis as per one of the excellent tutorials on here. http://youtu.be/uT-aNqy_f7w
  11. Hi Charlie, are there any shows planned a bit closer to Portsmouth this year at all?
  12. You read my mind, too, Tractor as I sent it off to Biff this afternoon. He will get it tomorrow. Can't wait. And thank you SR man. That's exactly what I did and what a difference it makes. So good actually that the sound now demands a re-blow.
  13. Well I completed the task this morning as per Biff's instructions and Wow, what a bloody difference it makes. Much louder and clearer than before. Thanks for everyone's input on this thread.
  14. Is it this one? Do I need both or just the chamber? http://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/shop/dcc_digital_loco_sounds/esu_decoder_testers_programmers_dcc_systems_high_quality_minature_speakers/new_v4_compatable_esu50334pc_20mm_x_40mm_x_9mm_4_ohm_1_2w_with_low_profile_plastic_sound_chamber_suits_most_bachmann_21pin_fitted_models_.php
  15. Thanks Charlie. Can these chambers be purchased?
  16. Understood Tractor, thanks. Thanks Lego, I will try that fix tomorrow and hopefully that may be all that is required to bring it up to a reasonable volume and sound quality.
  17. Thank you very much Pheaton, you must of read my mind. That was my next question. So, I presume, as per your diagram, 2 X 8 Ohm speakers = 4 Ohms?
  18. Many thanks tractor. Funny as the instructions told me I had a 3.5 fitted and obviously all of the wrong CV settings. Could a bass-reflex speaker be fitted into the tanks to compliment the existing factory one?
  19. Ok managed to shrink image to < 1MB. Can I confirm the blu tack goes onto the back of the speaker housing or onto the chassis? Thanks.
  20. Not interested in the above, seen it already. I just require the blu-tak quick fix. To be honest the sound is almost there, so I would just like to get a little bit more volume out if possible.
  21. On the chassis there are stacks of wires running over the recess. Is this where the blu tak goes?
  22. Ok where on earth does the blu tac go? Lol Ok cannot upload image cos its larger than 1mb.
  23. Many thanks. I have this running in consist next to one of your's Bif and its certainly not as loud. I will give this a go.
  24. Is there a tutorial available anywhere for the blu-tac mod, or is it self explanatory to any normal person, lol? Also, does a 3.5 LokSound allow CV values of 255? I'm not sure which one I have fitted?
