  1. I've searched numerous LNER websites and can't find the number of 1902 on a K2 or K3 anywhere ? Are you sure that is the correct number, as I've tried to enlarge the image, but it just gets pixelated the bigger I go !! Thanks.
  2. Thank you. It makes interesting reading, but I would've preferred the new GBL release in apple green, to make a nice variety of liveries to my ever growing collection. I have the 2800 in black, also the Stanier 'Black 5' (in black obviously) so another loco in BLACK hasn't given me something to look forward to ? I wonder if the series will ever get to the Bullied Pacific, and what livery that will be in ? Most probably in BR green, but fingers crossed, it may be in Southern Malachite Green ?
  3. Was this loco in black livery at any stage ? I thought the locos of the LNER were always painted apple green ? Was this loco in black livery at any stage ? I thought the locos of the LNER were always painted apple green ?
  4. Could anyone point me to a link regarding British Rail vehicles in the new yellow livery of the 1970's if there is such a topic on here, as I've only recently joined, and I'm not sure where to start looking ? Thank you.
  5. I'm in the process of making a shelf layout of a late 1970's goods yard Any photos would be a great help guys I remember the BR blue era very well as a child, and I would like to recreate a layout to bring back some wonderful memories I will post some photos once it starts to take shape Thanks for your help on this subject Danny.
  6. I believe the ISO container code of 4500 - denotes a 40 foot high cube (H/C) of 9' 6" high
  7. Hi there. I've been looking at this forum since buying my first GBL loco, and it's about time I joined. I've just bought the 9F 'Evening Star' (my 6th model now) and what a truly awful specimen it really is !! How can there be so much silver over spray on the wheels ? The gap between the tender and the loco is far to great in my opinion, even with the coupling pin removed, but at least the overall finish is fairly acceptable, although I think the lined boiler is far to red in colour, and not lined orange as it should be and doesn't even come close to matching the dark red lining on the tender. Right then, that's all I wanted to say !! Cheers
