  1. I think more appropriate would be: 'Are you satisfied/confident the issues will be resolved to your satisfaction?'
  2. Seems these pop up and down on the net pretty rapidly. Last night Amazon showed both grey versions, today gone! Phoned another retailer this morning who appeared after a google search, three just in and yes, he follows this thread so assured me his were fine, so hopefully I'm sorted... Did message two vendors on ebay, quoting the current state of affairs, and could they confirm their stock was okay.... Only one replied!
  3. Can anyone who had a broken one direct from Hornby tell us what solution they've been offered? Do they have enough undamaged stock to cover replacement? Or spare bodies to repair? And how long turnaround? My retailer asked if I wanted to return it to the factory for repair (they too had others returned broken), but I was: 'Thank you but no thank you'. If they're being sent from the factory damaged, it's just another gamble.. Did find another retailer who assured me he had good ones in stock, so here's hoping...
  4. Fine, assuming the damage is that conveniently distributed.... Way too many permutations of that scenario that could go totally wrong....
  5. Not really a club I wanted to join though (no offence!) Fortunately reading the 'returns' policy from the retailer I'm covered for goods received damaged, but then it's back in the lottery for a good one! TBH as it's 'display' only, I could have worn the 'tender front damage' version, as that's a repair out of eyeline, but not the front end...
  6. Sadly mine arrived at 6:30 this evening with similar front end damage. Did leave a phone message with the seller, but obviously will have to speak direct in the morning. I see they're sprouting up all over ebay, some listed as damaged, some starting bids at £150, others 'buy now' at £299! Trouble is, once bitten......
