thank you very much absolutely I have! I have 4 different designs of cases done, 3 different point machines and doing a few other signalling bits. at the moment however I haven't got the spare time or the space to produce enough to sell commercially. I'm moving house shortly which should allow me to get a couple of printers going

thankyou, Yes this is a Heljan class 14 but with ultrascale wheels. I still need to paint the wheels and add the brakes yet

This week I've started to do some of the painting on the RB crane, It's nice to see the traditional RB colours make an appearance and this corner is starting to come alive. we've also added a land rover which in our mind is the fitter who's come to have a look at something on the front of the crane

This week I've been adding some more brambles around the layout. An easy technique with synthetic hair, javis scatter and mount spray. I learn't from my mistakes this time and have sprayed them with matt varnish to seal the sticky mount spray. last time they ended up covered in static grass

It’s a bit of a mix, the diamond and the 2 points next to it were all one, the crossovers were one piece but then there was a couple of odd bits which ended up being seperate

After purchasing a 3D printer and wanting to get the most from it I’ve designed several styles of location cases for I few different upcoming layouts, what do you all make to them?

It took a lot of research, and to be honest I was going to go a bit further with it so you would be pushing through the bushes. However the other members rained me in and I’m glad they did as it’s a case of less is more. Thank you very much for your kind words, I love building track, I find it really statifying

Thank you, it was orriginally going to be 2 seperate traps, but then came across a photo of one like it and thought that would be interesting to do John

A class 14 does the morning run up to Shwt with some empty sand wagons. it'll leave these here and run back to the main line with just the brake van. the afternoon shift will be back up later to pick them up. it's no wonder these branch lines couldn't make money when run like this! Arriving at Shwt First job, drop the Brake van Push the empty sand wagons into the siding Leave them there to be filled during the day Pull forward to run round the brake van Run round the brake van Set Back onto the brake van Depart back for the mainline when ready

We’ve been really struggling to find the right style of signalling equipment (location) cases. In the end we found the best way was just to design and 3D print our own. I designed them as 3 different parts, the post, a large case and a small case so any combination can be made it’s surprising how mich smaller these are than the wills ones

If you’ll be able to see it’s wonky on the layout is another thing but at least I’ve tried to model it

Really happy with the completed wagon, this was my first time painting the rust under the wagon, applying chipping fluid before over painting with the black. A great effect which I' ll use again but just not to this extent!

A really enjoyable and rewarding project I’ve just finished for the layout is the Dead wagon project, we wanted something to put into the unused siding on the goods yard so a dead wagon was the idea choice The back story is - this wagon was in use dismantling and recovering the line beyond the crossing, on the retrun trip the leaf spring snaped and damage was done to the bearing to it was shunted off at Shwt where it still rests

A very tired looking Class 22 has ventured up to Shwt to collect an empty wagon from the coal merchant

I’ll certain excuse you for that, I didn’t realise we’d virtually copied another layout! Haha

Sorry Rich, the layout is built to EM gauge with all handmade C&L track

I’ve got to be honest we didn’t really look too closely to standard practices for LNWR or any other railways. It us weeks to come up with this plan, which is obvious to it former glory but also works as a cut down version with lots of bits disused

Haha yes I thought it was about time we got ourselves on here as the layout gets close to being complete. Thanks for following our progress and maybe at some point will see you at a show sometime soon

Thank you very much, the small weeds you can see next to the sandy track are done by applying long static grass fibres and then sprinkling on woodlands scenics fine turf for the leaves The larger bushes which you can see in the buffer stop are a product by Mininatur, its tree foliage which is seperated into single fibres, then a bunch of fibres twisted together at the base and glued on, once glued they can be seperated to look like a bush The hedges are done with synthetic hair, matted together before teasing out to the shape required, I then sprinked woodland scenics fine turf on it to look like leaves

We did think about having it dismantled, but then would they have taken it for scrap so there was nothing left? In the end one of the other members found this photo so we decided to copy it
