What is the target completion date for this Network Rail managed project? Looking forward to walking the sea wall again soon

It is fairly clear from the Network Rail camera, that concrete was delivered overnight - note black plastic tube

Looking on Dawlish beach camera, there now appears to be a new slope down to the beach complete with temporary hand rail?

Watching the camera for the last few days there doesn't seem to be much going on in terms of finishing off the raising, or is that a false impression?

I heard a steamer go through about 13:50 today but didn't catch the video & it doesn't appear to be on realtime?

Whilst it is clear there is still much work to be done in phase 2, are there any plans for a phase 3 to improve resilience, e,g. Canadian Railway style covers (mini tunnels) west of Dawlish?

Looks like a new power distribution scheme has been installed overnight with two 16 amp sockets behind each lighting position. If NR could leave this in place after the work is finished, maybe Dawlish Council could arrange a new weekly market* along the elevated sea wall, and the lights would be useful for walking the sea wall after dark ? * if you've never been to Dawlish in season, you won't necessarily know that car boots and markets are very popular

I think NR have been very smart, just getting on with second phase of strengthening, which I suggest weakens the case for an alternative route. No doubt some will disagree. Will there be a third phase: maybe putting Dawlish station partly into a concrete box...

Looking on the DB camera, I would suggest a second pipe has been run under both tracks, complementing the first pipe carrying concrete..

viewers of Dawlish Beach Cam will note that a temporary wire fence is in place now on the walkaway up to where it starts to slope down. If you walk the seawall after the Red Rock Cafe and look carefully at the path it is clear there used to be some sort of fence at that end years ago because you can see where the posts were. Anybody remember it?
