  1. 18ft x 10ft well er I think I can say mine is a very small one, (ha) it's a micro layout and it's only 3ft x 15 inches
  2. Like the use of a bendy straw on the girder bridges, cheap yet very effective method your factory's muddy yard at your TMD, may I ask how you did it? only I have a similar looking yard and mine was simple sand paper rubbed together and painted
  3. Thought I'd show off some of my stock & loco's Here's my most exspensive loco my class 57 in Network rail from Bachmann Next two MEA wagons been shunted by one of my many class 08's This is my bargain of the century a JJA from Bachmann at guess this £12.00 now I can't find this anywhere cheaper and weathered, could you? Some SSA scrap wagons now (well it wouldn't be a scrap yard without wagons for the job now would it) Now I do have some class 66's but I couldn't get them running, here's one anyway Here is my class 08's. The first is 08630 Hornby The second is 08799 or Andy Bower Hornby The third is 08683 a Bachmann A pair together A newest addition now I know it's a Roco But I don't know what it is but it looks good (look better when weathered) I have many many many more but that all I can do today. Again tell me what you think and don't be shy all comments make me a better modeller
  4. Helps if I can spell, oh well never mind
  5. I've been watching your video's and the forum for some time now one word... awsome
  6. Hello well I have been very busy at work I've very nearly had no time to myself, however I have finished my railway excavator (yeah) It's NOT pritty but it will be weathered so it will look better soon here's a few pictures to see what you think oh and it's D.C.C. with a new motor so a smooth runner
  7. I've been a fan of your you-tube video's since ever your how to video's helped me through some tough spots I even signed up to RMWeb around the same time to see your progress Your canal makes the junction look more flowing and fits in nicely keep up with the video's and I'll keep watching Everyard Junction will always be a favourite Shaun
  8. Right I've made a start on a propper fiddle yard, simple transverse but with none of the runners although I have got some. simple board with five length of track pinned down moving smoothly along some cut down planks of wood. Had to make it higher to line up with the layout and where they join I sandwiched some T nuts and bolts so joined completely with no movement. Also I'm working on a project at the moment to get a working excavator on the track, no swinging the bucket round just movment up and down the track would work Up to now it's wired up for D.C. but with my layout being D.C.C. I'll need a chip in it soon. It has been tested, not the smoothest of runners so added some weight not complete but it will need a respray and some more work
  9. There Viessmann floodlights and a bit of brass tubing, at least I think it's brass
  10. I never really measured it till now 3ft by 15 inches, however it is an odd shape because the layout started life as a simple book shelf and I've added bits on since then The right hand side despite the nameboard making it look even is exactly 1ft with 20cm sticking out the back for a transverse fiddle yard (when I get round to it) Up to now I've been using a cassette style
  11. 2mm LED's I think and a 510 ohm resistors 1 resistor for 4 LED's. I'm no electrician but I bought a car online, took it apart as you do to see how it works and I've copied that wiring for ever vehicle I do I've just found some picture's i took of a transit van I'd tested on to see if the idea would work
  12. I think it's a Bachmann Scencecraft building, given a little dulling down, roof re-done looks well used
  13. The funny thing is, it's a good job it's blurred beacuse of what's inside through the window. I didn't what it to be clear really, it's a naughty picture
  14. Hi all I'm Shaun. I've been into model railways since 2007. I have had many attempts at a layout, the last one was dismantled because of moving house. Now with most of that sold, thrown or stored for a future project I have this, a micro layout called Entering the yard. A 00 scale, D.C.C. Layout which started life as a simple shelf layout to test new locomotives on and has grew to what you see in these pictures. It is not based on anywhere and is a modern layout. The layout has much to attract the eye but I didn't want it too loud or crowded. many fetures include five vehicles with working lights which are swappable The idea is to show it off at exhibitions one day I have also added my favourite picture of one of my loco's a Hornby class 08 Serco This is the first post I've done besides Hello from me Tell me what you think and don't be shy on anything that could be improved, I like a comment or two makes me a better moddler As it's my first post I have checked for spelling but you never know I may of missed one
