  1. Hi guys, I just got hold of one of these yesterday in the Ian Allan Bookshop in Manchester, (£73.00, item No. 31-881) with the "Johnson/Deely" tender. I have been trying to find out, which numbered locos had these tenders and when the last of this tender type were withdrawn. Can anybody point me to a source of info for this? Cheers, Rob.
  2. I don't think I said anywhere in my post that I spend 25% of my wages on this hobby of ours. The last items I bought were Bachmann "Porthole" corridor third about six weeks ago, prior to that at Expo EM north, I spent about £45 on solder, liquid poly cement and tools. Thanks for the heads up on Arcadia, it's a shop I have been meaning to visit for some time. I'll have a trip up there soon. Cheers, Rob
  3. This particular British modeller is what is known as "SKINT", and when the price of a model coach is getting on for 10 times my hourly pay rate I think a little bit of moaning is not out of order.
  4. Perhaps a new definition of the term "snip"! At that price I do not expect to see moulded on lamp irons!
  5. It may just be my cynical side coming through, but Bachmann may think that customers will not be buying multiples of the autocoach or the inspection saloon so they are charging the maximum they can get away with for a one off sale!
  6. But have you seen the price that Bachmann are asking for it, £59.95! The LMS inspection saloon is priced at the same level,(I was intending to get one of these but not at that price, the comet kit in my "one day I'll get this built" list just jumped up the building order by quite a few places!)
  7. Some of the images on this thread have brought back the sense of wonderment that I felt as a child, standing under the train-shed of this station! It is modeling of the highest standard and I can not wait to see your progress in 2015. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all. Cheers Rob
  8. Rule 2:, covers Brake vans also? I've got too many of them aswell!
  9. I can see me adding the two in BR period liveriy to my over large collection of NPCCS cheers Rob.
