  1. Is your machine CE approved ? The RTS has all the European needed approvals, otherwise it's not allowed to sell them in Germany. And their 35kV version is just a bit more expencive as your machine as is their 15kV even cheaper. And if it comes to power please explain to me why all professional flockers use applicators wit a bit more power then the hobby machines. Pro layout builders like Brandl and Langmesser use the Maag eroflock, why spend 975 euro without VAT on a machine that isn't needed. The car manufacturers use machines with more power than you can imagine. Check their site and you know what I'm talking about http://maag-flock.com/en/machines-facilities/ If this all isn't needed and you can use a Iongenerator used in airco's then why are these still sold ? And I use bow and arrow to shoot birds I've been working as a pro layout builder for a couple of years now, working on layout from a couple of square feet to 300 square meter layouts. They hire me because they think I'm the grassmaster. And I really don't want to grass 300 m2 of layout with 12kV no matter how big the hopper is. And in this case power is an issue. That is my experience.. To give you an idea wich applicators I worked with, Noch grassmaster 1.0 and 2.0, Heki flockstar and flockstar XL, RTS 15kv, 35kV and 55kV and the Maag Eroflock adjustable from 30 to 70kV. Never layed my hands on the WWS applicator but what I said before you can send me one for an honest opinion..work on an article for dutch and german magazines about static applicators so I like to test them all..
  2. It's not my applicator, do not sell it or produce it ! Just think it's the best on the market..and hey it's just an opinion, you can do what you want but the results speak for themselves..
  3. For trees yes Pete, for the grasses not yet..
  4. No fuzz, but what it's all about.. static grass techniques where you need a bit of power because there's no bed of glue to stick your groundpin in..
  5. Still coming back on the 55kV machine, ok this is the 239,95 euro thingie but they have 3 in their range..the 15 kV is only 89.95 wich to current rate is only 64.50 GBP..and instruction video's are most of the time not the reference for purchase for me, lots of vids on the tub using a teasieve..
  6. Btw should be the same for the car trade, I know carpenters who buy a hammer, I have a workshop loaded with Festool tools..
  7. Well, maybe just because I live abroad. So the first show in the UK for me will be the one at Glasgow februari 2016. Later I will bring my layout to the Warley show.. But if power isn't any issue why did Noch boost their grassmaster to 20kV. Seriously I do understand you stand behind the product you make. Good to see you have good reviews but they are a bit out of date, lots happened on the static front since 2013. But feel free to send me one for a decent test so I can compare the WWS applicator against the RTS. For now I stick to them if people ask me what the best buy on the market is. They developed a static applicator the last 2 years and boosted up the power. Guess the nowadays customer's getting used to static applicators and demand more power.. Btw, no UK magazine compared the WWS to the RTS so... And with modern European law it doesn't matter where you purchase, and also a German or Dutch retailer will give you an honest answer..even Noch does
  8. I do have another opinion on this matter, power does matter otherwise a Maag flockmachine would use lesser power. Not saying the WWS machine won't do the trick, never compared it to the Noch, Heki or RTS ones but I will state that more power needs the job easier..Working with a lot of machines in the past year my main choice still is the Maag, otherwise one comes close to the Maag is the 55kV RTS..not endorsing any brand..just experience..
  9. Well its been a while since my last post, started up to clean the storage room and added 2 smaller modules to the layout... have to do a bit of cleaning more to do, mounting a couple of closets already standing here for 2 years under the roof and then it's time for the peninsula.. And I added a new one to the roster.. Have JMRI up and running, control with Iphone or Android. Switches will be changed from manual to servo or Cobalt controled
  10. Lloyd there are a couple more to build so I guess I can do a SBS..
  11. Warranty is a European arranged thingie, according to Europe laws you have 2 years on a product. I don't see a difference between a device purchased in the UK or the rest of Europe...
  12. Just checked the WWS, only 12kV..ok it's 3 times a fly swatter but for that price I would consider purchasing the 35kV RTS from Germany or Holland, almost the same price with the GBP value against the euro...this is the time guys !!
  13. Glad my garden doesn't look like this, my Momma wouldn't be pleased
  14. Maybe the 239 euro's is ouch, but you buy a machine for live. This 55kV has only 15kV less than the Maag Flock, a professional machine wich I payed 975 euros without VAT for. So compare price to voltage it is a real bargain. For those who model smaller scales. The 35kV is more than sufficient for all work but has a pricetag the same as the Noch..but 15kV more. And I guess John can back me up in this, the RTS has a better way to distribute the power by having a thick aluminium plate at the top of the cup instead of this grafite laquer Noch uses... Make a note here, like a lot of work also in real live good tools makes the job easier..
