Thanks KennyM. Yes it is brutal but I've now got my TGS into its component parts. The link was excellent, I hadn't found it but it is the models I am making.

I have Hornby Mk3 TGS in GWR livery. It is the latest tooling of the Mk3 (R4780). I want to remove the body to repaint it and possibly add lighting. Old Mk3s almost fell apart but this new model is proving difficult. I have removed the corridor connections and the bogies but I cant see how to remove the chassis beyond the first 1" of each end. I also need to remove the roof. Can anyone help me to identify where the clips are between body and chassis and roof. Are they glued together. They are a very secure fit.
