Please note these are either fully in production or on the high seas as i type. 3. Both Ben and Grahame received conversion packs as part of the product review process. Other magazines without a presence here also received the kits. Cheers Dave
  4. Hi Robert, I'll endeavour to do this tomorrow. Cheers Dave
  5. Hi Jim, Yes the model will have 2mm axles and should have clearance for P4 cheers Dave
  6. Hi miles, I dont think you should even be slightly offended to be honest. The 'rep' was probalbly myself, and i gave out information that was good and accurate for the time it was given, and as you know, looking through the various manufacturers treads on here, things and circumstances change and this is often unavoidable if not very annoying. cheers Dave
  7. Hi Mel, please check some of the other threads on the Dapol partition and you will see that for the class 52 we have gone over to a colour matched blue (colour matched to Bachmanns class 55 Deltic) with positive comments. no need to cross your fingers at all. Oh and no one has to live with 'Dapol high prices'. cheers Dave
  8. Hi, We seem to have perfect then the headcode panel as a rotating item with the destination or reporting code (depending on class) printed on 3 sides of a transparent triangle. it is an interference fit so wont revolve under movement but looks quite good especially backlit. No rotating blinds i'm afriad but we will print up some to be customer fitted. cheers Dave
  9. Dapol Christmas press release. Hi everyone, Festive cheer to you all! Due to the ongoing delay in the class 21/29 model in OO gauge, we have a slot in production for the 3rd quarter of 2013 that allows us to move up a model to fill the gap that would otherwise have been in the 2014 catalogue list of releases. 10. Hi Miles, To be honest it would be very wrong of me to even raise a quarter for release. As a newbie here, and I promise I'm just stating fact not belittling you, please take a look at the Western thread in OO and check out the timeline. The great thing about this group is not only does everyone have an opinion, but they also have ideas and spot things both myself and others don't. Having said that, I thinking already looks terrific, and the input from here will make it even better. :-) Hi Michael, the headlight is moulded on, but only features on the versions that will need it as slides are being incorporated to allow us the choice. Cheers guys Dave
  11. Sorry Miles, But since my 29th November posting there is nothing more to add at present. cheers Dave
  12. Hi Tom, I spotted this and also think the "dome" is too flat as well. I'm not keen on the body to chassis attachment or the front bogie connector to chassis. By the way the front steps will be customer fitted Cheers Dave
  13. Hi everyone, Sorry it's late but here are the cad/cams for the Rebuilt Battle of Britain. And yes the curves should be curved it's just a process of the cad/cam cheers Dave for pictures of lots of things .......... http://www.zenfolio....nesphotography/
  14. Brackets and O gauge signals are still some months away i'm afraid. As for painting them silver, i think i'd like to have some white ones (if someone can let me know they definately happened) so that we can sell the 2 colours if possible. Cheers Dave
  15. Hi everyone, Just finalising the GWR round post signals in N and OO, and have had a brain F**t , silver or white finish posts? or both? cheers Dave
  16. bearing in mind the time of year, is that HOHOHO scale?

  19. The bogies are a 'nadgers' too wide aren't they? Just a 'nadgers' mind ;-)
  20. No, I meant speaker space. The 73 will be our first PluX22 compatible loco Cheers Dave
  21. Hi Kal, PluX22 decoder socket and room for a nice big speaker and sealed enclosure on top, as per the class 22, D1000's and 10000 models (speaker space that is). cheers Dave
  22. Hi everyone, i have sent China a list of 42 items to change this morning including a lot of your list, so thanks for that. As the 'JB' cad/cam was due next week ive asked them to hold off on it and correct the JB before sending it. Hope this is ok but i'd rather show you the progress made as it metamorphss, metamorff, metamoorpho...............changes :-) cheers Dave

    Dapol 'Western'

Im now wondering if i should source a maroon Heljan western for colour matching? it would be easier than delaying the project further. what's the consensus here regarding this models colour? cheers Dave

    Dapol 'Western'

Hi guys, a picture sent from china this morning of the lineup of painted bodies currently in China, including another shot of the maroon, and grey roof on the green. thoughts still please? cheers Dave
  25. Oh and just as an aside, Every separate component is a different colour from the item it's attached to, so you can see the individual parts on this model easily. cheers Dave
