Some great stuff here. I recall CCT and other 4 wheelers at St Erth sidings for fruit & veg in the early 80s. I guess this was worked into parcel workings, but I have seen them included on the afternoon tripper from St Erth.
Hayle wharves last trip was 1980 I think.
I remember mineral wagons with a very fishy smell in the 1980s at Truro.
NCL at Drump lane had all sorts of 4 wheel vans there when rail linked.
Holmans had 4 wheeled flat wagons for the small generators, and minerals for the scrap.
As a Signalman from 1989 to 1994 in Cornwall I think all the areas have been covered above. The Truro fertiliser traffic was in Cargowaggon type wagons by then.
I don't recall any revenue earning freight west of there from the early 90s. The St Erth scrap came later.

Read above, the Hullabalooe tour did. This is the ONLY occasion this happened.
Access for certain class 47 sub classes are also being examined at the moment.

The Pathfinder Hullabalooe tour did similar.

Would anyone happen to have a hi-res photo of the new roskear signal panel? Mainly looking for what the new signal numbers are, and types the signals are for a train sim project.
Thanks.
Hi yes
I have a number of pictures I'll get around to uploading them at some point.

Hi
Finally found a good image reducing bit of software. Here are some recent Moorswater shots. The Glynn Valley shots are likely to be the exception in the future as run round activities are now undertaken at Liskeard.

Hi Dave
Thanks for the comments. The cement wagons are loaded in, empty out.

Always propelled from St Erth. No run around as previously mentioned.
This pays problem to my potential model of the railway. The road shunter used to bring the tanks in/out of the oil depot as the loco would be trapped inside the depot. Answers on a postcard please....

Thanks for that Flood. I've never seen a picture of that end of the viaduct so didn't know there was a crossover there. Makes me wonder why they didn't back the train in to the wharf from the down line. Would have saved a long propelling move.
I think the reply refers to why the train didn't come from the East (Drump yard) already formed and cross over at the western end of the viaduct, and propel down the wharf from there, rather than St Erth. It's a good point. The barrier wagons and brake vans were attached at St Erth. The morning freight contained all sorts and was marshalled at St Erth ready for the wharves train.

Hi mate. Yes Frank is a grand chap. He sometimes whizzes up there on his quad bike. The cows are a challenge. They were happily grazing in the mist in the top of the adjacent field. I quietly closed the intermediate gate as they ambled across - very curious animals. They gathered at the gate and one or two starting mooing loudly in protest. How do you "Shush" a herd of cows? They mooched back to their grazing and I concentrated on the pictures. I DID re-open the gate of course...
There is a series of FP's along the area, but you have to be mindful of animals etc...

Hi Brian
Many thanks, I'm sorry if the negative view came across about the mist- I was as chuffed as a tramp locked inside a chip shop....
