  2. No australian enthusiast can dismiss bathurst as quite simply one of the most amazing places to watch or drive. I dont think an australian has yet but i just have to state it first. My experience there as a spectator in '92 and '93 and being lucky enough to 'hoon' around for a few laps post qualifying gave me a respect for the mountain i wont forget. Inglenookfan
  3. Loving this thread. Dig out the pics lads and lasses! When at the puter next i will try and get some grid pics up from the late 60s at silvestone. Anglias, cortinas, minis and sports. I have been to a few autograss meetings and have been dead impressed. Cheap to spectate and enter and with so many classes to choose from there is somethjng for every budget. Races for ladies and mechanics, buy a license and entry on the day and big entries. I havent been to a big event yet but the last weekend affair i happened across must have had 200 cars spread across the classes and it was free to spectate! I gave some quids to the charity and bought a burger and chips to support proceedings. Very cool engineering and prep standards in the expensive classes and racing was excellent. Inglenookfan
  4. I like the look of this and wish the best of modelling to you for 2016. Have you decided scale and board size? If you want to emulate the gravity shunt then have a look at the Farthing Layouts in the blogs. Maybe you are aware of them already?. They are simply brilliant and the last time i had a peak mikkel was playing around with gravity shunting and methods of arresting wagons. Inglenookfan
  5. I like the sound of Threadneedle Street. Sounds interesting and fits a micro layout i reckon. Inglenookfan
  6. Names.... Market Market Gate Smithfields Smithsfield What about Smithsfield Low Level? Best regards/inglenookfan
  7. Just being a joker. To be honest I think Hornby may have scaled down the vent grill on our bathroom extractor when compaing it to the RE24
  8. My Hornby 25 that someone converted to a 24 looks very different to this. For one; the sidegrills are completely different !
  9. I really like this. Some small shunting layouts look a bit odd and some look just right. This layout is definitely one of the latter.
  10. Howdy What a great thread. I think the background work is just fantastic and its very interesting and refreshing to see Tackeroo develop. More pics please
