    Unfortunately credit card purchase protection is not a statutory right in Australia. But some cards do offer it - presumably yours does not?

    The statutory protection is with the retailer, and only with Australian retailers. Not sure how it would work with international sales if they are direct with the international seller. I had recently been through the process with an Australian retailer who imported goods from overseas to resell here, and who didn't think they had to honour any warranty at all. They ended up replacing the item before the govt authority (who has no real power anyway) was required to intervene.

    I was surprised that the card issuer even had a 6 month time limit when all the information I could find only gave 120 days for Australians.

    Mind you I was only at level 1 support through a company I didn't even expect to do much for me anyway.

    Due to the nature of crowdfunding and the turn around times for such products, I doubt I will ever go for it again, unless it is through a proper retailer who can refund if nothing comes of it.

    I have since registered myself as a creditor with the liquidation company. I don't expect to see anything from it and have written off the loss as it isn't worth the stress.

  2. A few of those buttons are still hiding until you move your mouse across them:

    The 'Log In' button for the account log in.

    The 'Save address' button for when you update / create billing / delivery addresses.

    Using: Chrome Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (32-bit)

  3. Is there a cut-off date for orders? Or is it a case of when a certain number of models have been ordered?

    The following is an extract from the e-mail Dave sent to those who previously expressed interest in the King:

    So far i have paid the cad/cam for the models, and your deposit will help cover my outlay on the cad/cams, as well as the tooling 50% invoice i have had from China.

    The model is ready to go, the tooling is booked in, all that's needed is your input as as much as i'd like to, i cannot hold the tooling slot if payments are not forthcoming. Please note that right up until we reach the tooling target, you can order as many models as you with if you want to 'invest' in the model market, as these models will not be repeated in these liveries and names/numbers and i do not envisage doing a second 'normal' run of models for at least 12 months from the release of these.

    So the more that are ordered and paid deposit on, and the sooner that is done, the better. Would hate to see the tooling slot missed out only by a few units.

    DJM Dave: Any idea on how close we are?

  4. Getting this for password reset in Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

    @php do_action( 'woocommerce_resetpassword_form' ) ?>

    {{ __( 'Save', 'woocommerce' ) }}

    @php wp_nonce_field( 'reset_password' ) ?>

  5. I received the exact same error as YesTor and the results are the same.

    Password reset form is bugged as well.

    yes yes I have already forgotten my password.

  6. I'm unsure if you can cover an existing face with a pattern but I know you can take an existing pattern and extend it in Fusion 360. Pattern on a path?

    Maybe this method could be used? http://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=GUID-101C0598-F00A-46EA-8319-32BDA7483C0B

    IPA seems to be best purchased off Ebay for Australians: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Isopropyl-Alcohol-Pure-100-Artists-Choice-5-Litre-5L-Cleaner-Isopropanol/332666025894?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

  7. From what I have read he is required to have the website / page set up so secure transactions can be performed, which needs to be vetted by the associated bank, and thus requires someone with the knowledge of how to do this. It sounds as though the site/page has been completed on a test site and requires to be transferred to his current site.

    Even for someone like me who has dabbled in forums and basic pages, payment systems isn't something I have ever dealt with.

    I wish I could help Dave out but maybe falling back onto a generic order form would be quickest approach the problem at hand, as Dogbox321 has suggested.

  8. My G7 lenses arrived today. I was able to do a test fit but won't have a chance to do a focus and cut until next week.

    The G7 lens still was loose in the thread with similar amount of wobble when adjusting the focus. Forgot to measure the spring though.

    I'm thinking the thread used in the laser mount is cut over size. Thread tape won't work as you need to be able to adjust as required and I think it will just cause the tape to fall apart with too much movement.

  9. Well the Ebay supplier said they were in Sydney but I was a little dubious when the paypal receipt listed the seller as a series of Chinese characters, but it only took a day to get to me so I guess they were telling the truth.

    Now off to learn Fusion 360....

    Was the seller called Anycubic-offical? I recently purchased one with the previous 5% off and it was Australian based distribution. Purchased on the 21/6 arrived 28/6.

    Just a warning, the USB stick provided is of very poor quality. Suggest dumping the contents on your PC before anything else. Also join the facebook group "Anycubic Photon Owners DLP Owners"

  10. That is a problem a few of us seem to have.   When the focus is correct the lens is barely holding on by one thread.   I got round this by moving the diode down to poke out of the alloy housing by about 3mm then the lens had more thread engagement when focussed.    By loosening the grub screw at the bottom rear of the diode housing,  you can move the diode down then re-tighten.   If your diode is a tight fit in its hole,  take off the fan and push it down from the top.

    Jim.

    Well I decided to investigate a bit more and pulled the laser off the gantry. The focusing lens is loose through the entire length of the thread. That little spring does very little to prevent movement.

    I will wait until I receive the G7 lens and see how it fits. May require a stronger spring or some thread tape.

  11. Well my Emblaser one has arrived and I have been able to build it will little trouble.

    One thing I did notice is that the focus lens seems to be quite loose. I did purchase and use the 3d printed focusing tool but it was of poor quality and bent far too easily

    I did manage to do a quick cut of some paper using the jigsaw file from the Darkly Labs website but I won't be able to get much other work done until I have found a home for it in my little workshop at home.

    Oh and the G7 lens has been ordered. Not looking at upgrading the fan just yet though.

  12. There are a couple of enhancements mentioned  here earlier - a bigger fan and a G7 lens - both available for hardly any money from Ebay.  Once you have a handle on the out-of-the-box Emblaser, they are both well worth investigating.

    Thanks for the reminders.

    Do you have a link to a lens on ebay? Only one I seem to find is in America.

    Just a note I am in Aussie land like yourself :)
