The Exley GWR vans were real; A guy bought one after being inspired by the models, they were a few feet longer than their LMS equivalents, but were used as racing stores vans in the Midlands, The Exley models are the only ones depicting them, as only one remains in to modern preservation, and they didn't see the same, normal traffic as most model companies wanted to model. I understand it was questioned in the first pictures. The only exley flaw really was that the LMS vans had connectors, but GWR ones should have had them removed, which these models show they didn't. I spent a summer re-painting the last one based off the exley model and a Collett coach.
