  1. Blimey!!! You Guys have been busy whilst I've been away, haven't you  :good:  :good:

Thanks for all that. Certainly food for thought, and we'd never considered doing anything but a Class 37. So never say never.

We have received the paperwork from Bachmann to scope things out, so all I can say for now is "watch this space"

    Thanks again everyone!

While I am here. We will be starting to transition some of our older stock back onto our website, as it is easier to manage than on ebay as there are no time limits.

For the moment, the limited stock we have on ebay will stay, along with anything new that arrives from Bachmann.

So keep an eye on what we are up to on this forum. On our website: http://www.c37lg.co.uk/shopmain.aspx?category=models and of course ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html

    All the best.

  2. Thanks Rob. Yes the Mickleover guys have inspired us to look into this.

We weren't expecting the plethera of limited 37's announced by Bachmann, so are going to wait till next year. Hopefully we can pick the right model to fill a much needed gap in everyones collection.

    Cheers

    Martin

Sorry to hear the sales haven’t been great . I guess it’s a rather crowded market for normal release stuff .

As the michleover club have shown a limited edition could be a better way to raise funds ?

  3. Hi Brenn, and thanks for your question. All the 37003s are long since gone I am afraid. They really did serve us well.

We are seriously looking at doing a new exclusive Class 37 next year, as this year has not been a very good one for us sales wise, and this is likely the best way we can make the monies necessary to complete the transformation of 37003 into D6703 by the end of 2019.

    Cheers

    Martin.

    Hi Everybody.

We have been stocking Bachmann models for a while now, as part of our fundraising activities to get 37003 back in service on the Mid Norfolk Railway (She currently resembles Swiss cheese, and half her engine is my garage!) and have gone a bit wild with the cheque book for Bank Holiday, so wanted to tell as many people as possible about us to save it hanging around too long and getting dusty.

All of our items are available through eBay, but don't worry about us having to stomach the fees. As a Charity, we don't pay any! All prices include 2nd Class Royal Mail postage, and for those of you that may have accidently found us in the past, I hope you'll agree we do a pretty mean bit of packaging!

So, if you are in the market for a bit of modern image 00 Gauge Bachmann stuff, then check us out here http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html

Many Thanks in advance for anyone that chooses to make a purchase, your support really is appreciated.

Keep coming back as well, or subscribe to our twitter feed @c37lg to see what is new. We are expecting another batch of Blue Class 40's and the first of the Green ones next week for example.

I will try and post some updates here along the way as well.

    Cheers for now.

    Martin

do you have any 37 003 br blue left?

  4. With a little under 3 days remaining for our Brush Type 4 duo, 47444 and 47209, on ebay. Can I tempt anyone before we head off to the Post Office tomorrow night?

£124.45 + £3.50 (For 2nd Class Signed for Postage) should hopefully get you one for the Bank Holiday Weekend.

47444 can be found here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163016519607

I have also been asked by the boss to mention our Network Southeast branded MK1 Coach set. Complete with passengers, who I suspect were a lot less stressed than the travellers within in the Network Southest area today as a result of the new Timetable!

    Yours for only £78 + £3.50 Postage. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153025943364

Don't forget if you buy  a second item, we charge an extra 50p postage, but then no more, as our maximum postage charge is £4 (correct at the time of pressing send!)

Thanks as always for your support.

    Martin.

  5. Hello everyone. It's been a bit of a while; but I just wanted to stop by and say thanks to those of you that popped by to see us while we were at the Swanage Railway Diesel Gala last weekend with our gala circuit shop. It makes what we do just that little bit more special, to be told by a complete stranger that they have seen us on RMWeb, and/or have used our services.

Anyhow. The surplus items, of which there were not many, have now been put onto our ebay shop, and I hope we can tempt you with something?

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html

All the proceeds from every sale go towards bringing back 37003 to life in time for her 60th Anniversary in December 2020.

We have started stocking a few more lines, but we are keeping these for the gala's at the moment, as I cannot justify passing on the postage costs that would be involved for such small items, on to you. Our next outings for the shop will be the Mid Hants Railway Diesel Gala on 2nd June, and then the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway 50th Anniversary on 30th June/1st July. Do come and see us if you are visiting.

Before I go. Our sales manager wanted me to highlight our last ever 47346 in Dutch Livery, with onboard sound to you, which you can find here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153024801830

It has been a good fundraiser, but all good things must come to an end so we can move onto new horizons. There are loads of great goodies to arrive from Barwell in the near future, so do keep watching us.

    All the best.

  6. Any idea what's happened to West Coast Railways' 47245? Didn't appear with the other recently released catalogue 47s.

I seem to remember my sales team telling me that they should be here by the end of the month, but please don't hold me to it as things seem to be very fluid at Bachmann.

The availablily sheet I have here just shows it as sold out at the warehouse!

I think we have a fair few ordered, so hope they do prove popular when the finally arrive.

  7. Hello everyone.

Just a little plea from the man who has to pay the soon to be increasing bills from the Royal Mail each month.

If you are thinking about making a purchase from us in the near future, (and why wouldn't you!) it would be financially beneficial to both of us if you could do it in time for our trip to the post office on Friday (23rd March) as the prices are rising on Monday. Which is a good time to say: don't forget to buy any stamps you need yourself before then!

Don't forget you can find all our goodies here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/c37lg/m.html

We will be making a public update on the progress of 37003's restoration in the next week or so, which will not contain great news, but those of us at the coal face enjoy a challenge, although the novelty is wearing off a bit now! Backed up by all your purchases, past, present and future, we will push through the current road block and get back on the road to recovery.

All the best to you, and thanks as ever for your continued support during 2018.

    Martin.

    C37LG Chairman.

  8. We had our volumes for 47209 and 47444 confirmed by Bachmann last week, so probably not far away.

Also that those two are sold out at source. We didn't order any virgin ones, so can't comment on those.

    Cheers

    Martin

Both now in stock, and very nice they look to!

  9. Thanks for the kind words Craig.

Hope to see you again soon. If there is anything you are looking for Bachmann wise and we don't have in stock (which is most stuff at the moment!)

Please drop me a pm and we will be happy to give you a quote.

    Cheers!
    Martin.

My GBRF 66728 arrived yesterday, great service, will definitely use again!

    Cheers

    Craig

  10. Good evening everyone.

A bit of a marmite announcement tonight, having read a lot of the reactions elsewhere!

We have two of the Anglian liveried 47714's (Bachmann 32-817 SD), and are unsure whether to put them in our shop, or just take them over to Norfolk with us in a few weeks to sell during the Mid Norfolk Railways Spring Diesel Gala.

If anyone is hankering for one. I see they are going for RRP and above in the general market. But we don't play that game!

For £145 including P&P it can be yours. (we will ask for payment via bank transfer on this one to save the PayPal fees)

If you are interested. Please drop us an email. sales@c37lg.co.uk

Sorry I don't have an official picture of it from Bachmann to post. Can't find one anywhere, and we prefer not to open our boxes.

    Cheers!
    Martin.
  11. On another thread that’s why the colas 37/70 don’t appear in the 2018 catalogue as they too are sold out at Bachmann.

It seems these days you need an algorithm to work out when to buy stuff as if you casually decide later you want something it’ll be gone

We have asked for a healthy number of the Colas loco's, and fingers crossed the algorithm says we can have them.....

Luckily our representaive at Barwell is very good to us, and we have had a lengthy discussion about future products and their availability this week, which should put us in good stead for 2018.

If we are not the number one supplier of Bachmann Class 37's by the end of the year, I will be very disappointed!

    Cheers!

    Martin.

  12. Just a quickie, that doesn't sound right, are you going to be setup at the London Ally Pally Exhibition in March?

Not this year I am afraid.

Our volunteer's free time limits the number of events we can attend in any month, and March's Sales Team pass out is a trip to support the Diesel Gala at our home railway, the Mid-Norfolk.

  13. Really sorry but I had to get the special from Locomotion, anyway great price and no doubt you will sell all of them in quick time and then some.

That's OK classy52. As a very small player, we never know what we are going to get, vs. what we asked for until it arrives, or how much we are going to charge!

Hopefully we will tempt you again with something in the future.

    Martin.

  15. Thank you for those kind words.

We try to price competitively, as it would be very easy to try and make as much as we can off each item, but end up with a lot of dusty stock!

The other important factor is to make sure that the time and effort our volunteers expend in providing this service is rewarded with an appropriate profit. So we tend to work on a fixed margin with only a casual nod to what the competitors may be doing. This should normally result in "attractive" pricing.

    Thanks again.

    Martin.

Remarkable prices for the diesel loco's especially for the 66's incl. the DCC Sound version 32-733DS, it's actually £4.95 cheaper than a certain forthcoming Ltd. Edition DB Red 66 (if you incl. extra logos) without sound.

Hope you continually sell your all stock and keep up the wonderful pricing.
