  1. Start the new year with a trip to our friendly annual event in Kidlington. We have around 10 layouts plus trade stalls, and a cafe open all weekend selling bacon sandwiches, light lunches and delicious homemade cakes. We have lots of model railway layouts, trade stands and a fantastic cafe serving home cooked food and cakes all day long. Free parking is available at the venue and also nearby in Kidlington centre. Accessibility: The centre part of the main hall is only accessible via a 3-4 steps. The rest of the venue is on one level and there are accessible toilet facilities. There will also be plenty of trade stalls selling (and buying) models, books and equipment for modelling scenery. Visit our website, www.scoutrail.org.uk for more information about the layouts and traders attending. All weekend, our fantastic cafe offering bacon rolls, light meals and refreshments. ScoutRail is hosted by members of the Kidlington Scout Group and has been running for more than 30 years. All proceeds go to the group to maintain its buildings and equipment. Car parking: There is a car park on site, and if that fills up, there are additional car parks close by in Kidlington centre. Accessibility: The venue is old not all parts are completely accessible to wheelchairs. The central area of the main hall (containing 5 layouts) is lower than the rest, and only accessible by a small number of steps. The venue entrance, toilets, cafe, small hall and the exhibits around the outer area of the main hall are, however, all on the same level.
