  2. Dear 37114,

Looking at the grilles I’d say the radiator grilles are separate items. They fit very tightly but I reckon they’re not part of the main body moulding.

  3. I was intending resisting the new batch of Deltics but having seen images of them succumbed. I’ve corrected the eth cables on 55022 & painted them black. As regards 55015 I’ve blinged this up & added Railtec 3D Rainhill plaques to the headcode panels. Both models have been further enhanced with Protoneo self adhesive etched nameplates which match exactly the size of the factory applied nameplates. Would be great if somebody was to produce Deltic Farewell headboards in 0 !

  4. Received my 37051 model today & very pleasing it is too. I had to refix two items of loose glazing but as the body comes off very easily the task wasn’t daunting at all. The redesigned bogie chain fixing helped too as I’d accidentally dislodged one. The shape, the detailing & the finish are all up to Accurascale’s usual standard. I’m very impressed how easily the bufferbeam pipework slots into their respective apertures. No filing to remove excess plastic or thick paint was required. Looking forward to several more other versions when they arrive.

    No real surprise there then!

I messaged Hornby spares requesting a pair of their black plastic drawhooks at least & was told that those items weren’t part of the original moulding & therefore couldn’t be supplied as spares.

Good job I had some Accurascale screw links handy.

Luckily my models are for static display only.

Question for those who have the DPS ltd ed of D9009… has anyone tried to put on the ETH connection on the buffer beam  when adding the detail?  I cant seem to see any place for them to go… @Accurascale Fran any ideas?

EDIT: tried it with them on but the wire hangs too low and scrapes the rail and restricts the movement of the bogie. However a snip of the cable but leaving the eth connection boxes on solves the problem.  Hope this helps anyone.
