  1.    need help wiring electrofrog points,  electrics not my strong point  .. trying out oo gauge for once and building a small shunting layout ,  been told its best to use electrofrog points so the plan of the layout are in the pictures , all points are electrofrog  can you show me how to wire up to run a train ?do I need insulated rail joiners ?if so were to put them sorry for being a pain  icon_cry.gif cheers bob

  3. well track and points all done ,made my own control panel   icon_eek.gif  lol   all working ,try the train on it late this afternoon and it keeps de-railing at one point   icon_twisted.gif  not sure why ? I will have another go tomorrow then see what happens , very  frustrating ..... bob

  4. hi , I had just started to build this layout , its 3ft x 2ft6 split scene , No particular era or area , base is build now doing track and point wireing thanks for the help  on here  :)  few more point motors to do then I will take pictures of layout and start doing the scenics and buildings  ...hope some of you like  cheers bob  ....

  5. hi, only voltage I have is from  gaugemaster control    12or 16 v  and I want it to power the isolated section as well as the lights from the same switch ?   hope you understand .. lol   bob 

  6. hi can anyone tell me how to wire up 2 led lights red/green  to a switch ... it for  when off it will light up red and when on it will show green  its to show on a  isolated section on a panel ,, hope you understand this  ...   pic would be great    cheers bob ps I am cxxp at electric  so make it easy ..... cheers bob 

  7. hi I understand your drawing , its a lot of wiring but I can do that ,its just how to do a control panal ? with 9 dpdt switches plus 7 switches for point control ? it be bigger then the layout lol , I am only a newbie . cheers bob 

  8. hi all,    well I started this little layout its 3ftx2ft6in its going to be a spilt scene , I have put the track down but not pin it down yet , the wiring side of it I am not to sure I would like to run two trains maybe 1 just shunting down the bottom while the other can just go around ? if you get what I mean ... pictures of layout ....    any help would be grateful  please  ..   cheers bob

  9. sorry too say this project is now abandoned due to heath reason. it was just to big ..  I am going to build a smaller layout 3ft x 2ft 6"
    a two scene layout .. plans are already done and base is nearly there just waiting for a few things and hopefully I get going again .. I like to thank everyone who help me with the other layout....    again I be asking more silly question     lol   cheers bob

  11. hi chris and thanks you very much for your trouble , I understand the feed wires and the insulating rail joiners but not got a clue on wiring the double-pole double-throw (DPDT) switches. ? any chance of a diagram  electric not my strong point    cheers bob

  12. hi heres another picture of the layout with the scenic and  building taking out    just the track plan  6ft x 6ft  square  n gauge
     question is
    1  can I run 2 trains
    2 best place to put the feed wires
    3 were to put insulated rail joiners
    4where to put isolated switched sections
    sorry about silly question but I am total cxxp at wiring knowledge with electric is a no no  ???
