Just opened my box to put together my sound version APT-E and noticed I have two of PC2 but the instruction booklet mentions PC1.

My Idea is similar to yours. Although I am not a train simulator user, I do know about Victory Works GT3 sim and I was planning on contacting them as to how they obtained the sounds for their project. I'm guessing that they sampled an early industry type gas turbine rather than sounds from the actual train, either way I plan on contacting Legomanbiffo to see if he can tackle the job if not then I plan on purchasing a LokProgrammer to enter the sounds into a LokSound V4.0 but this will take time since the none sound side of the controller chip will be new to me and will require reading and experimenting but I am not in a rush.

Thanks John, I did not know the caps where included with the chassis. I think I know what to do for the sound project and I have located some handrails from my spares box but have no idea what type of wheels to purchase, the variety is bewildering. Just a few questions for the individual developers of building a better GT3. I have purchased Ian's excellent etches and just ordered the crank bearing covers as sugested by Dave. I will put an order in for the Golden Arrow Resin GT3 and the buffers from Markits as sugested by Lanyor. The first and second question is for John Isherwood - I want to purchase your transfers for the GT3 but can you tell me if they can be applied directly on the painted tender or will i need to locate and cutout some white transfers first. Are the transfers the usual waterslide type. The third question is for Chris - I tried to order the chassis with gears but could not find a way on your website but others have somehow managed to place orders. The last question is what wheels do I need to purchase (I am aiming for accuracy) and from where and the rest of the details like the handrail grabs, cab details, sound project etc etc

Ok i know the ATP-E was a prototype and never went into proper revenue service but if I want my APT-E to operate on my layout as such would it be possible to replace the instrument trailing car with a standard trailing car and it would it possible to add a further trailing car to the train, effectivly creating three seated trailing cars and power car on each end set.

Hi John, I recently purchased a new late colours Amtrak turbotrain which just makes a lot of noise but no movement is this the same problem you have, did you find a solution?

I paid for the sound version by credit card over the phone just days ago, just checked my credit card and nothing, hope nothing has gone wrong and I miss out. Anyone else use the same method was your credit card charged straight away?
