  1. Test Train packs have arrived at Hornby's warehouse
  2. That is very nice. What radius is the curve that it's whipping round?
  3. Fantastic model. Now I just need a layout to run it on.
  4. Just had a wee look your layout on Flickr - really nice, looking forward to seeing the IEP on it
  5. I think that's a promotional livery - at the very least, 'Arriving 2018' wouldn't make the final (production) livery.
  6. Now out to February for the GWR pack and March for the Limited Edition Test Train pack... As an aside, if they're offering a GWR coach pack next year (https://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/gwr-iep-bi-mode-class-800-0-coach-pack-era-11.html) why can't they offer a Test Train coach pack?
  7. That price difference for the 5 car set between Hornby and Rails is incredible. I preordered from Hornby at £374.99 but I'll probably cancel that and go with Rails. On the 2018 range, was a little surprised they didn't have a Class 800 in the Virgin livery.
  8. Now changed to January again
  9. It's a good looking model.
  10. Looks like the GWR pack is now coming December 2017. Which is good news for me, but not so much my girlfriend who's now not getting a Christmas present.
  11. *shrugs* might not be. Just reading too much into the samples you can see in the videos
  12. Looks like the removable nose panel is happening. At least on the limited edition model?
  13. Yes, that's the platform section of Waverley being adapted for ScotRail's new 385s. Platforms 5 and 6 (also pictured in the article) is for the Class 800s.
  14. Slightly related - images of the platform upgrades to Waverley Station to accommodate the new Azuma's have been posted: http://www.scotsman.com/news/pictures-of-the-new-look-waverley-station-released-1-4539305
  15. Nice wee video on Hitachi Rail Europe's Twitter account (@HitachiRailEU) of the Azuma crossing the border for the first time: https://twitter.com/HitachiRailEU/status/898143373575507968 (I don't know how to embed tweets / videos) EDIT some nice images in The Scotsman as well http://www.scotsman.com/news/transport/virgin-trains-azuma-crosses-border-for-first-time-1-4533857
  16. Also sneaking into the blog is "Those of you lucky enough to have snapped up this limited edition run can expect to receive their models early next year." Looking at the website, seems the date has slipped to February 2018 for the test livery train pack and January 2018 for the GWR train pack
  17. Indeed they were - missed them
  18. New images* on the Hornby site. *images I haven't seen before
  19. I see in the latest Hornby Magazine that Hornby are working on a removable nose panel to conceal an NEM coupling pocket / coupler
  20. Has 68014 been named? I assume the Dapol models in the Chiltern Livery won't be supplied with names/nameplates?
  21. I was certain I'd read the limited edition would be in a special presentation box etc. but I've no idea where I saw that.
  22. If the clock's stopped just now you have as much time as you need Seriously for a bit, that is a seriously stunning bit of work. Incredible effort.
  23. I'd be a happy boy if they brought out the coaches to compliment the limited edition test train models.
