  1. Simon was building pointwork last time I spoke to him, he has built the boards. Was working on his garage to create a work space. He came up at Christmas, we went through my Geismar and Bridge Street notes, lifting out wagon types, Diesel shunter numbers and workings, went home with a bulging note book Richard
  2. Cripple Sidings was featured in Rail Express last year. Will be at DEMU show at Burton in June. Richard
  3. I have built a small wagon repair depot based on the one in Northampton Yard in the 1980,s Wooden sleeper work surface, grounded van bodies, mish mash of huts and sheds, wagon bits and wheels everywhere etc It was featured in Rail Express last year, Journey down memory lane for me as I visited the yard taking photos, it's all gone now. Have also built a small 4ft shunting layout, again based on Northampton memories, a small fan of Sidings used by the Signal Engineet for loading materials, Very much enjoy both layouts, enjoyed the research and building Richard

  6. I watched the DVD today, thought the layout looked brilliant. Enjoyed the commentary and thought the operators came over as professional and in complete control ....... RC

  8. I thought you were currently into PVC or was it PVA, I'm confused
  9. 2, Dave could build one of his Micro layout creations on one copy, carry on his massive empire building. Not sure if he would bother stiffening it up .....
  10. Charming, I had to buy my own, when I tried to take mine back after I read it they wouldn't give me my money back ☹️
  11. Where they on offer ? Buy one, get two free, RC
  12. Would love to have a sit down, unfortunately I would image the Chuckle Brothers will be signing autographs and blessing babies, muggins will be running the layout on his own Only joking

  14. I wanted a red box, mine is blue ☹️ Just my luck RC
  15. I am devastated, the cashier at Tesco this morning refused to sell me a copy of the magazine, I was challenged over my age, didn't have ID to prove I was over 18, they mentioned it contained a DVD that was unsuitable for minors. Going back later with a cover letter from my Mum Richard ☹️
  16. I don't believe it , must have had a fast shutter speed to catch him operating
  17. Wonder if the DVD tells you how to attend shows and then go on walkabout and leave the operating to your Minions
  18. Only one sleep to go before it hits the shelves ! Been counting down the days using my converted Thomas the Tank Engine advent calendar, unfortunately the chocolates have already been eaten ! Unsure whether to ask them to sign my copy, not sure if an unsigned copy would be worth more in my pension portfolio fund
  19. Paul Looking at the picture, I can feel your pain. You look exhausted after non stop operating. No chance of a sit down with 2 hours plus of non stop action Richard
  20. I thought the person is the picture looks like Dave T, dressed up in his normal Friday night outfit RC
  21. Richard cannot get Fridays off to attend weekend shows, has to keep the wheels of industry turning. Unlike my two colleagues, one retired and one who might as well be, they are always free RC
  22. Looking good Steve Very smart Richard
