I first saw e-train outside York museum in 1993 and it was rather sad looking. Now 20+ years later I will soon have my own & I am getting a bit excited. Do you think it might be out of place running next to a Santa-Fe super chief , a UP Big Boy , an EM2 or a P-Train? Yes but it's my railway and I only model from the 50's to the 60's. That's 1850 to 2060 I just got to hold out a week or two longer than most of you as it travel half way around the world to OZ John

A while ago I saw Hornby were going to do a class 71, I kinda like electric locos so I thought I might get one when they were available. Recently I discovered DJ Models. They are also doing a class 71 Thought about it for a week, went to Kernow Model Rail Centre & paid for one. From what I’ve seen so far I think I made the right choice A couple questions for Dave. When do you estimate it will be ready? Any chance of seeing a naked Class 71, I am interested in the type of drive. I am hoping it will be all wheel drive (motor with fly wheels in the centre of the body & drive shafts to each bogie) & all wheel pick up & no traction tyres. John

I was wondering where in the world all of the APT-Es will end up I suspect most will go to the UK. I know of one that will end up in Australia, soon I am hoping Maybe Locomotion or Rapido would know and be willing to share that information with us yours John
