  1. Hi Andy, couldn't agree more about the show than what you've said. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was great to chat to you and the other webbers. Pity you missed Trevor Toone the guy demonstrating upstairs he is the person responsible for modelling modern day diesel depots and general yard clutter that you see about the place. Excellent workmanship and highly skilled. It was his son who was modelling Windmill Lane ( 1st time being shown) a great little modern day layout with 2 of his dad's depots being showcased.

  2. It was really busy in the morning, I didn't see the two guys on the computer I may have missed them. I'm not a n gauge fan but thought the layout along the Dawlsh/Teignmouth coastline with warships and westerners running brought back a lot of happy memories for me. Pity it wasn't in oo gauge I'd have been over the moon. Hope you enjoy the Mansfield show on Sunday.

  3. Our paths keep crossing I went to the Sileby show on the Saturday as well, I thought it was excellent. I've not seen the Mansfield show advertised can you let me know where it's being held at please Andy I'll try and get over on Sat morning if the two on over 2 days.

  4. Andy thanks for the excellent report on this show. I normally go to the Trowell show as it is only 5 mins from my house. The reason I didn't is that it's a small venue and last year it got really busy. I decided to go to the Lincoln show ground one instead and was really pleased that I did. You should try it next year, spacious and not very crowded. It did get busy over lunch but eased in the afternoon. It's the first time I've been there and will definitely go again. Keep up the good work as I enjoy reading your reports.

  5. Nice introduction it made me smile, like you I'm within afew miles of Toton the class 25's have gone now and been replaced by 66's but it's still a huge depot. You've stayed loyal to green diesels and I'm wondering if further down the line you might undertake one of those in 7mm? It's a scale I've thought about on a couple of occasions but alas I stick to blue diesels in '00' . I'm going to follow your journey not to learn something which I undoubtedly will with all the skills you have picked up but more in the hope that your inspiration for 0 gauge rubs off on me and inspires me to have a go at a larger scale. Love your work area.
