  1. Love the close-up Andy of the "fish house", Trevor has made a cracking job of it and the creosote finish is superb.
  2. Like the new warehouse Andy that has appeared next to the fishermen's cottage, is that a scratch built building by yourself?
  3. Many great pictures recently Andy, love the signs you've just added. Also great to see a class 22 doing its bit on Pencarne, long may it continue. Well done mate you should be proud of what you've made.
  4. Of course I will Nick looking forward to it, the roundhouse is great venue, see you Saturday Brian
  5. Thanks Nick, Like what you've done with the sector plate should make movements a little more interesting, looking forward to seeing the layout at Derby next weekend.
  6. Hi Nick been looking at your low relief brewery / warehouse mind telling me who makes them and if there still available- I've had a look through most of the Bachmann scenic models and can't see it there, Thanks Brian
  7. Hi George two lovely models very well done Brian
  8. Like the workmen George, especially the one on the far left in the first picture, looks like he's practicing his dance routine ( happy in his work obv) Nice build buddy you've got quite a production line going on.
  9. Great pictures Andy especially like the level crossing and caravan park Brian
  10. Did you manage to find any capstans for the dock side at Sutton? Dairy sounds a good idea Can we expect a 6 wheel milk tanker being pulled by a green class 22 ?
  11. Looking good George, yours looks a tad shiny on the roof and cab top but that might be the light, bit of grime will soften it up.
  12. A very nice venue and a well organised show Nick thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm sure everyone like me who saw your layout was too busy noticing the fine layout you have built and admired the quality you have built into it, to notice any early problems you thought you had. Glad things settled down later and I hope all goes well tomorrow Brian
  13. Quite like the idea Andy of a wooded background would it be low relief or hand painted. Any new pictures mate?
  14. Just spotted this thread Andy, great carpentry skills and I like the track work it should make a nice layout. Is the station building a model or kit bashed? Brian
  15. Not sure to be honest, probably play around with my existing layouts for a while. I was tempted to have a go at kit building a van or wagon in O gauge but your comments on the instructions and also on another thread about them being vague has put me off, so will think about what to do next over the interim period.
  16. Thanks George. You would have thought that someone like the '0' gauge Guild who are always trying to get modellers to switch at shows would have brought peer pressure on these manufactures to at least make sure the instructions are easy to follow, especially on some of the models that new users are going to choose.?
  17. Hi George excellent work on the wagons and van, especially the brake van braking gear. Do you prefer Parkside or Slater's to build given a choice?
  18. Hi Andy, couldn't agree more about the show than what you've said. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was great to chat to you and the other webbers. Pity you missed Trevor Toone the guy demonstrating upstairs he is the person responsible for modelling modern day diesel depots and general yard clutter that you see about the place. Excellent workmanship and highly skilled. It was his son who was modelling Windmill Lane ( 1st time being shown) a great little modern day layout with 2 of his dad's depots being showcased.
  19. Nice to meet you Peter at the show you have a great layout there with lots of detail, don't forget the bus on the over bridge, Hopefully I'll get to Cotgrave next month to see it again. Brian
  20. Nice neat work on the wagon and point work George, nice to meet and chat yesterday at the show. Brian
  21. Thanks very much Andy for the invite, domestically Tuesday nights are a bit difficult for me - the tea and biscuits are a big attraction so I will try and make it in the not to distant future. Good luck with the weathering tomorrow and don't eat too many bacon sandwich's Brian
