Thank you. That picture looks so good that it looks like a model to me. I live in the US so I know little about British locomotives, but that coupling chains threw me off.

So is the picture of that E2 original?

I just took a small hand file and filed a small bit of paint on the cab and I think the original color was the LBSC brown livery. I read on another topic that someone soaked a shell in brake fluid and it got paint off of a LMS Jinty that was repainted. Should I try to do that?

I can get better pictures if you want to see the locomotive in better lighting.

Hi, I'm new to this whole forum. I have an E2 shell that I bought at a train show. Since I live in the US, I know barely anything about British locomotives and I wanted to get tips from the experts here on this shell. Is my example hand painted? If it is, I'd like to paint it flat black like the original ones looked. Should I do that? And do you guys like American designed locomotives?
