  1. Something to crane your neck about? Something to crane your neck about? Something to crane your neck about?
  2. The Weedkilling Brake Van. Please excuse the chassis but I could not find pics of the chassis. As it was ex MR I simply mounted it on a Hornby ex MR chassis. First IWR vehicle I modeled.
  3. And on the subject of tanks! a modified Royal Daylight wagon as per the three that ran on the Island .
  4. My models of the weedkilling tanks. First the ovalish one. Made from a sectioned sweetex dispencer and a smallbrook studios chassis.

  6. 4165 made from a sectioned width Std Graham Farish Brake.
  7. An earlier attempt at an SECR comp. Same method used.
  8. The buffers are the ones I use on my coaches. The SECR ones are similar to the LBSCR ones but are a little longer in real life. But in model form you cannot see the difference. Here are some pics of my coaches. Sorry if they are dark.I took the pics in the loft. 1st up The LBSCR tourist coach/ex invalid saloon made up of a farish coach shaved, sectioned to correct width and length. The wide windows were made by sectioning a standard roxey LBSCR Coach side around the window and making the bit up inbetween.
  9. Better finished pics of the Sadler Vectarail coach.
  10. Vectis and Portland Cement PO wagons. Vectis wagon livery was grey, Portland Cement/Blue Circle were Yellow. The Portland Cement were ex Vectis Wagons and the Vectis wagons were made/refurbushed from old dumb buffered wagons, probably ex IWC/IWR seen when there were sidings at little London. There were 8 and five planks. The 8 planks being the higher numbers.
  11. I have these ex wessex wagons Blue circle cement wagons up for grabs. I have 2 runs of 2 different numbers but unfortunately they made them without end doors. I converted these to end doors and hinges and with strapping. They hàve 3 link couplings but could easily go back to tension locks. There are 8 wagons in total all different numbers. Make a nice rake for an Island layout. PM me and make me a near enough offer. Looking for £11 each. Thanks
  12. Pregrouping Freight. FYNR ex opens converted to covered opens Mixture of IWC and IWR wagons

  14. Pete Is the Royal Daylight tank wagon in the field at Havenstreet a tank that served on the Island or is it one from the mainland? Am I right there were three of these on the Island? Thanks Gary
