Rediscovering vinyl during lockdown. Jean Michel Jarre, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Alarm and now The Buzzcocks...
Still loads more to go in the coming weeks....

SWMBO referred to it as sh*t in the garage, but I'm quite pleased with how it has upcycled into a trapezoidal understairs cupboard door...

Took a sight test this morning, might need a retest because I ended up at work.....

At least the new government recognized destination for those taking the new sight test just happens, by pure coincidence as it was just stumbled on, a very picturesque old market town. Not sure how it's going to cope with those just doing eye tests and the many thousands of tourists it receives every year though.

Finding that split gears are not limited to model locos. Resurrecting my old Scalextric for the grandchildren almost scuppered the fun....
At least some parts haven't changed in 20 odd years.

Geminids Meteor Shower clearly visible tonight just for a change, even in the light polluted south. Must look good in a Dark Sky zone, but I wouldn't want to be outside at the current temperatures.....

Two weeks on the trot, Duff running sessions. Serves me right for owning 12 class 47s I suppose....

Well as I won't be going back to work for a week, the Railway Room has been renamed, it is now the Covid Cave....

I suspect that a number of people round here might be "self isolating" in "railway rooms" right now.
For some, it probably doesn't matter whether or not they've "got the bug" - right now, there's no way some people would be able to get hold of test packs to allow them to find out!
Anyway, "self isolating" in a railway room happens to be a rather effective way of getting away from the festive "Xmas specials" of TV programmes they've never heard of before (and would prefer to never hear of again).
As for me, I've been spending a number of days repainting a bedroom (best to think of it as "initial enabling works", a few steps prior to building a layout). Saying that, it comes to something when many TV programmes are so dire that I prefer to watch paint dry ... .
