  1. Thanks Steven - that's really helpful Mik
  2. As a newcomer to RMweb and a complete novice to model railways I would appreciate guidance on my selection of controller. I intend for simplicity to begin with an N gauge analogue system and use Kato Unitrack. I will be buying new locos some of which will be DCC ready which should be ok I guess with a Kato SX controller bought for an easy set up with the track. My concern is with DCC fitted locos and this controller - I have read online that PWM and Feedback controllers can both pose problems with DCC fitted locos run on an analogue system and the Kato SX is PWM. Is this the case and can any kind member recommend an alternative that could link easily to Unitrack? I am not yet into soldering. Also if I go with an SX would it have sufficient power to run locos double-headed ? I hope this is the correct forum as the query does overlap with DCC. Many thanks for any help
