  1. Would it work better if it was maybe a single branch line? Posted a thread in 'Layout and Track Design' re the above question.
  2. As Flying Pig says the track is already down but I might have to have a think about the trap point.
  3. Thanks for the quick replies. Period is 80's - 90's Southern somewhere inner London (loosely). Can the motor be on either side or is the rule either on the left or right?
  4. Any advise appreciated regarding as to which points would probably be switched by a motor and which would be hand operated. So far I've gone with 1,2 & 3 motor operated (Peco dummy motors). 9,10,11 & 12 hand operated. I'm not so sure about 4,5.6,7 & 8.
  5. LOL yes I've already discovered how easily things fly off. I was hoping just cleaning the pick ups would cure the stutter that has suddenly started......so I'm going to follow your instructions and add the extra pick ups. Thanks again Ian.
  6. Thanks for posting. I was actually going to contact you as one of my 73's has started to stutter. How did you remove the bogie frames as I found these really difficult to take off. Cheers Ian.
  7. Thanks phil-b259. So updated my diagram forgetting anything beyond the bridge. Would the ground signal had the arrow on pointing to the left? Ian.
  8. Thanks phil-b259. Not sure if you saw the one in the last picture I posted (the one actully on the layout in front of the two boxed ones).......as far as I'm aware its a Red / Yellow / Green signal
  9. Cheers fellas much appreciated as I you can gather I'm no expert with signalling :-) So coming out of the stabling sidings I have the following that I can use if one of them is acceptable? A three aspect ground signal Red / Green Standard Light Ground Signal (2 Whites 1 Red)
  10. Many thanks for that dave55uk :-) Unable to change that plan as the track is already laid but should be able to fit a trap point in. For the ground signal would this be a shunt signal type? I'm using Berko / Eckon signals. Cheers Ian.
  11. Hi, Just wondered if anyone coud advise re the signalling on the following layout. The top points would be operated by a signal box further down the line with the lower ones being hand operated (unless some would be operated by motors?) Appreciate any advise.
  12. I've got two and once the screw under the front bogie is removed the bodyshell unclips from the chassis quite easily.
  13. A/B is just an internal reference.
