  1. When wiring 6 or 8 led's to a bus can I use just one resistor in the feed or does each led require its' own resistor? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am a total novice when it comes to electrical matters!
  2. Sorry, I may have muddied the waters by giving too much (irrelevant) information. None of the points operate via DCC. I have a multimeter so will check for a fault as suggested. Thank you everyone.
  3. All of my points have suddenly stopped working!! The CDU output is fine, I tried another one just to be absolutely sure. 5 of the points are electro frog using Seep point motors and Gaugemaster Autofrog polarity switching and 3 are Insulfrog using Peco surface mount motors. Locos operate normally on all parts of the layout, switching the points manually. I was laying some ballast, tapping the track with a spoon to bed the ballast down, without realising that power was switched on. Could the short circuit have damaged all the point motors???? If not then I have no clue where the problem is. All the points are operated by toggle switches, could all the switches have burnt out? The layout is DCC using Gaugemaster Prodigy Express DCC01 control.
  4. Can anyone tell me the CV to increase the brightness of the interior lights in the Bachmann Class 108, please?
  5. Thanks Ian LMS, yes they are the same points as mine, so now I have the solution. Sorry if I seem a bit thick on this but I have got myself so confused I really didn't know what to do next.
  6. Oh dear, that is where the problem is then. It will not be easy to lift the track. Will those Hornby little continuity springs work do you think?
  7. Thanks Ian LMS. No I didn't solder anything across the "V" as Peco say it should only be necessary to cut the wires they put in.
  8. Thanks Ian, I have added the track plan to my pist. At the moment the feed is only from the right hand edge, where the fiddle yard will be. Insulated rail joiners are positioned where reccomended. Do I need a feed between every point and at the end of each track?
  9. Hi everyone, I have got myself utterly and totally confuse over the wiring for DCC points. I have a large layout in my garage using Peco Code 100 track and Insulfrog points which all works perfectly. I have started a second layout using Code 75 track which of course means Electrofrog points and this is where my confusion begins!!!!! All the points have had the links cut as per Peco instructions and insulating joiners where suggested. I am using the Gaugemaster automatic frog juicers. At the moment I only have power feeding in from one track while I try and problem solve. There are six points in total. I can't get power beyond the frogs! I found that if I connected power beyond the point, I could get continuity but on that track only. If I connect power to the other track leading away from the point, it doesn't work. I am now so confused that I really don't know how to solve this. Here is the track plan.
