Hi All. I emailed the London Transport Museum, enquiringl about engineering train wagons to run with Pannier Tank L94.
The reply came back, " We have not commisiloned any wagons" and "I am unaware of any wagos relevant to London Transport Locomotives". I thought that would have been a good idea, but, I was wrong again. happy modelling. Kev
Hi Ken
If you haven't got it already, I highly recommend purchasing a copy of Red Panniers by John Scott Morgan and Kirk Martin. Lots of pictures showing the panniers on various workings from Pway to rubbish. Mostly the stock they pulled was British rail wagons of various sizes.
Best of luck.

N gauge Pullmans would be nice. Or some RTR n gauge London Underground engineering stock... It's nice to dream....

Very interesting. I'm confident it's a Dapol pannier tank, would guess a Radley Metrovic loco but not sure if the tube train is Corgi or Shapeways 3D.
So go on, spill the beans. Tell us about the project.
G.
Corgi model with Tomytec power unit in motor car. Trailers use kato bogies. Painting as 1959 stock. Not strictly accurate but doing this to a budget.

Evening folks
Thought I would take a few minutes to share my projects with the forum. Pictures attached, please feel free to ask questions.

Speaking to Andy yesterday, it would appear that several options are currently being investigated. One issue is that 2 types of buffet car were used in the set when in service and Dapol only makes 1 of the 2 variants. Another question is should it be released as a train pack or as a solo power car. From our discussion yesterday, it would seem that no final decision has been made yet but the aim at the moment is to get decorated samples ready for Ally Pally. As Andy says, Dapol want to get this one right because all profits are going to Project Miller so they want it to sell.

Just to clarify, first venture into loco building and indeed O gauge....

Just bought issues 1-3 from local newsagent, new to this but would you recommend removing paint from boiler/valences/front? I was thinking maybe just paint it in wartime black to save on paint/transfers

Believe it or not it was Humbrol no 19. Or gloss scarlet.
