  7. Yes small but finely marked me thinks
  8. You could do all your food shopping and all your toy shopping at the same time and the car park is convenient
  9. AND there will be a layout in the "junior" scale as an alternative the those rough O Gauge chaps and their cumbersome layouts
  10. The people who are questioning the decision to cancel the exhibition obviously do not watch or listen to warnings. Parts of deepest darkest South Wales have had 52cm of snow( that’s 18 inches in old money), plus drifting. That’s roughly the height of the wheels on the Vauxhall Vivaro that I could not get out of the house to collect. We are not the only ones I am sure
  11. Well just think ..... you have lost a weekend playing trains but gained a weekend of overtime. So apart from paying the poxy tax man you will have some more money to buy extra toys.
  12. Thanks from the Ynysybwl "crew" a good weekend. Our first ever one day show which was very good, cracking layouts and good company. The only complaint was that we were over fed !!! Even our two well established "troffers" were fed to over flowing, its a good job the food stopped at 13.30 !!!!!! If Portsmouth was not so far from the depths of deepest darkest South Wales we would attend ever year. Thanks again
  13. RoundhousePics.pdfjust a few more tasters of what you missed if you did not come
  14. Even got a photo of "The Quarry" ...... just for record purposes of course, there may be a few comments from the Quarry-man about the conveyors and the hopper though
  15. "Wenlock" .....try these for a start, all thanks to the Grand Daughter .....and of course Uncle Fred and his diesel thing
  16. I can assure you that the venerable Mrs Oisaeau makes an exceedingly nice WELSH CAKE and has also produced some additional delicacies. She made these tasties this morning before setting off for a little baby sitting. So provided Mr. Oisaeau can keep his mits off them there will some to taste.
  17. The Welsh cakes, now a feature of all Exhibitions where Cardiff 4mm Group are in attendance will be from the normal source (i.e. The Ferret) supplemented by additional supplies lovingly baked by Mrs Oisaeau. Much nicer than evostik up your nose
  18. I do believe that the Professor is making arrangements for you to devour a tasty curry at the normal curry house on Cowbridge Common. Good beer is available all over Kaardiff as you know. Sadly we will not be able to provide a barrel at the show like we sampled at Aldershot last weekend. There may just be some welsh Cakes available however
  19. Getting all excited as its only 5 days to go, and the floor plan has (nearly) been finalised
  20. A few sample shots of Sherton Abbas
  21. Trevor Nunn brought East Lynn in 2009 and John Coulter (sadly now departed but probably playing with the big train set in the sky and converting the angels to S gauge) brought Llanfair in 2012
  22. With less that 2 weeks to go and following the lastest load of hick ups the layouts attending are:- Dunvant - (Cardiff 4mm Group) operated using the superb LNWR stock built by Sandy Croall Hardwick Grange - the 4mm layout from Cardiff Model Engineering Society Rhydypenderyn - 16mm Garden Railway by Tony Bird Hope under Dinmore - EM all the way from Portsmouth Chewton Mendip - another masterpiece from Tim Tinknell Tucking Mill - 2mm fine scale by the brilliant Jerry Clifford, ably supported by Kim Llawryglyn - a return of the popular EM Cambrian layout by Richard Loydall Sherton Abbas - A spectacular O Gauge built by Dave Stone on its first public outing Blue Circle Tarmac - OO Gauge Quarry by (Mr Prolific) Paul Rolley - is this the last before defection to O Gauge ??
