  1. Pre-ordered one from Sheffield.... can't wait.
  2. Looks like my wallet will take another hit here! Superb choice of prototype Dave. Space for a speaker in the tender too! When will we be able to pre-order Dave?
  3. Dave, How much of a mod would it be to include a small switch on the underside so that the rear facing red light can be switched off when hauling a train? I love having directional lighting on diesels, but one point that particularly grates is when you are pulling a train and the rear facing red light is on when it shouldn't really have been! Would this be possible?
  4. Not a member of BMRA at the moment, but I am a member of the Hills Model Railway Society that meets in Baulkham Hills every Friday evening. I do intend joining BMRA, just haven't gathered my excrement yet...
  5. Can't you just rotate the pins around the 'right' way?
  6. Any chance of such a beast appearing in 'N' Dave? Please??
  7. Saw the non-NEM conversion kits are on the Hatton's website now. How many pieces are in one pack?
  8. I would love to know whether they will fit 4 wheel stock as well, although I'm wondering how many I would need for a couple of prototypical length rakes of 16 tonners! Bring it on Dave - can't wait to see more details...
  9. Sweet! Looks like I've got some more ordering to do in May....
  10. G'day Dave, Any news on when the conversion kits might be available? I've started converting my NEM socketed rolling stock, but there's a lot of my stock that has Rapidos fitted! Look forward to learning more about the kit.
  11. I went through Rockingham one Sunday afternoon in May whilst working in Perth - en route to visit DCC Concepts. Quite an adventure by public transport on a Sunday!
  12. Thate makes two of us GTC! I have quite a collection of N Gauge stock, but only a very rudimentary test layout (a folded over loop) to test out locos on. I have a week off work in early July where I "hope" to get started on the first module of my 'real' layout.
  13. I have to admit I do envy you Peter - I've always wanted to explore this great country of ours. Love my 4WDing but haven't had much chance recently to do any! Still, less than three years to long service leave now....
  14. Don't think he's related - but I'd love to be proven wrong! I'm sure the MUST be somebody in Sydney!
  15. Anybody else in Sydney? Or am I alone??
  16. Given the size of Australia (and do we include our mates from across the 'dutch'), it might be worth knowing who is based where, so that we can identify who is local to who.Happy to start the ball rolling. I'm Jon and I live in Kellyville, North West Sydney. Anybody else nearby?
  17. I just received my "William Shakespeare" from Rails and straight out of the box it runs beautifully. I'm delighted with it - hauled 16 coaches (a combination of BR maroon Dapol collets, Farish Pullmans and BR maroon Farish Staniers) around my test circuit which included 11" curves with a 2% climb and descent (on corners as well) without missing a beat and it looked like I would run out of coaches or space on the circuit before it would show signs of slippage! Agreed, it was not cheap - £97.00 excluding VAT for Australia but plus international postage - but in my opinion money very well spent. If this is the sign of things to come, then the future of British outline N looks rosy....
