  1. I nominate Irvine station. Especially on a wet winter Wednesday night. Many years ago I once stood in the soulless plastic shelter for almost an hour, watching a couple of junkies on the opposite platform having an increasingly violent fight that ended up with one of them chasing the other onto the tracks whilst weilding a rather large carving knife! Luckily, they were more interested in harming eachother than me! I have never been so happy to see the train arrive, I can tell you!
  2. Hello Michael. I have been watching this thread develop with great interest. I grew up on Walton Hall Avenue next to the railway bridge that carried the line over the road. I had many a sneaky peek at the actvity on the triangle when I went through the park with my mum. I loved going through the subway under the track near the turntable. My sisters and I used to stand in our back garden on Grand National Day and wave at the racegoers on the specials. Sometimes they would be held at the signal at Fazakerley South Junction and we would shout hello to the passengers! I went to Alsop school and my mates and I used to look around the shed after school. One of my mates was a fellow railway enthusiast and we were always a bit sad to see how the site was crumbling away. Like so many of Liverpool's railways, it would have formed part of a superb metro type system. Your layout looks great already and I hope I can get to see it in the flesh someday soon. Good luck and well done!
