  1. Got another screencap this afternoon, mainly to show this unusual combo. The Class 26 had banked Eric up to Goathland, and I'm guessing that instead of running back light engine, coupled up in front of the mogul for the run back to Grosmont. Whatever works, I guess.
  2. I also managed to get a full house picture this afternoon, though mainly to get a shot of the wreath on the B1's smokebox. I know wreaths are normally fitted if someone's recently passed away, so I'm wondering if that's the case lately, and if so, my condolences go to those affected.
  3. Definitely. I also got a couple more screencaps of it this afternoon. Also, given the loco's name, the headboard in the second picture is quite appropriate really. The only question now is when the Q6 and S15 will return. The only deadline I can think of the Severn Valley's Autumn Steam Gala for the Q6, though that's not until September 20-23 which is 8 weeks away. So there's still a bit of time yet, unless the board need it ASAP for the summer.
  4. Got a couple more screencaps this afternoon after it stopped raining. Firstly, 76079 was doing a bit of shunting prior to the last train leaving, And then 1264 passing through Platform 4 a minute or so later. I did notice the Maroon set was seemingly in the carriage sidings all day, so I'm guessing the C&C set's up and running again. And with the gold timetable in use next week, that's good timing really.
  5. That could actually work as well, thinking about it. Anyway, I got a couple more screenshots of the J27 this afternoon, firstly backing off shed to get the teaks, And then setting off for Pickering. All we need now are the Q6, Eric and the S15, and in terms of loco numbers, we'll be good this year.
  6. Just seen the pictures of the J27 from Thursday, and I'm glad she's getting a chance to stretch her legs once more. As for further screencaps, I got a couple of the B1 today, mainly because of the headboard. one at Grosmont, And one at Goathland as well (Will I be alright putting it here, or would creating a new thread for the Goathland webcam be more appropriate?) Not sure who the happy couple are, but I know better than to be nosy. Still, congratulations to the happy couple, and in more ways than one given we had the royal wedding today as well.
  7. Yeah, I nearly panicked when I couldn't find the page for it at first, but I managed to find it on the page for Grosmont station itself, and just in case, I've provided the link to it below. http://www.nymr.co.uk/grosmont-station I also managed to get a screenshot of the J27 whilst it was in Platform 4. Good to see the old girl back again. I've also provided the link to the Goathland webcam as well if anyone wants it. http://www.nymr.co.uk/goathland-webcam
  8. Well I'm back with another screencap, and another DMU destination board, this time for Leeds. Looking at what Market65 said about passenger numbers late in the day, that could also be true.
  9. Ouch. I hope they can fix the trip hazard soon. And speaking of DMU destination boards, I got another screencap of one today as well. The angle of the lighting does make it tricky to read, but I'm thinking it says Manchester Oxford Road, given there were a couple of terminus platforms there from looking on Google Maps (although there's only one in use right now). I also noticed the centre car wasn't in use either. Was it for routine maintenance or something a bit more serious? Either way, I hope its fixed soon as well. Also, 76079 behind the DMU as if to say 'Can I go on shed now? I need to be serviced'.
  10. Got another two screencaps today. Firstly, the ever changing DMU destination board saga continues, with one for Holyhead. At the same time, 16191 was sitting in Platform 4, presumably after some more finishing touches made since Sunday, before being attached to the full Maroon set at 6PM.
  11. Okay, now that I've seen that picture, I can certainly believe it. Funny thing is, I was watching the webcam between 7.25 at 7.55 waiting for it, only to see the earlier comment from Boris, and like s182ggu, I thought 'Oh B----r', but at least someone was on the ball. Also, thinking about it, I'm pretty sure I read in one of my dad's old 'World of Train' magazines the loco was NYMR based at the time the issue in question was published (late 80s/early 90s), before it moved to Crewe to be restored for the Churnet Valley, then to the East Lancs, and now she's back again. Talk about a yo-yo loco. Also, got another screencap this afternoon, and another of the DMU's destination boards. In case you can't quite read it, its Blaenau Ffestiniog, another of the set's many destinations in mainline days.
  12. Oh wow. I'm not too sure whether to believe that yet, as there's nothing on the NYMR website as of yet, so I'll have to wait and see on that. In the meantime, look at what the C&W department just released back into traffic this week. A very shiny and newly refurbished 16191. I actually noticed it running on Thursday, but its appearance caught me off guard, and I was busy doing something else at the time, so I couldn't get a screencap at the time, and I didn't see it running on Friday or Saturday either, presumably while some final finishing touches were being made. But I got a shot of it today, so we now know it's running again.
  13. And the ever changing destination board theme continues, as today we had one for Chester. Funny thing is, thinking about it, dependant on where it was stopping en route, the run to Chester could easily have been via Knutsford, Plumley and Northwich, the very area my mum grew up in.
  14. Seemingly, the DMU's ever changing destination boards are becoming a theme for me now, as today we had one for Blackburn. Admittedly, the angle of the shot does make it hard to see the board, but I only just managed to get the shot in time, so please bear that in mind.
  15. Seemingly, there's more of the DMU's old destination boards still around, as today we had one for Stalybridge. Still, at least it keeps things interesting.
  16. Fair enough, as boiler washouts are an essential part of loco maintenance. Speaking of 7628, Shades of the 60s with both itself and the DMU. 80136 showed up as well, And then I noticed the DMU had a Preston destination board as it prepared to leave. I'm pretty sure it's a leftover from its mainline days, as I know from Heritage Railway magazine that it ended its working life in and around Manchester, so it could well have travelled there on an off day.
  17. Well, fair enough then. I was mainly thinking along the lines of the more engines that are Whitby approved, the easier running the services would be, but if the NELPG aren't really interested, there's nothing you can do about it. Also, another screencap from this afternoon. I'm guessing that must be a loco roster in place for April as last week it was Repton and 76079, whereas this time its both the BR Standards. Or maybe I'm overthinking things.
  18. Got a couple more screencaps this afternoon. Firstly: Figured Repton was going to bed at that point, but 80136's presence confused me until they moved the lamp to the top bracket, then I thought 'maybe it's swapping with 76079 when that gets back'. Sure enough, I was right: Also, as a footnote on yesterday's railtour, I managed to figure out the locos used from vids on YouTube. It was topped and tailed by the B1 and 48151. And seeing that the 8F made it to Whitby, I do wonder why the Q6 isn't Whitby certified yet, unless the problem's lack of funds for the equipment necessary (which it probably is).
  19. Well, being a life member of the NYMR, and a frequent visitor to the webcam, I thought I'd add my own screencaps whenever I take them. First one is of 80136 leaving Grosmont this afternoon. I mainly took it to see what the headboard said, but then I remembered the thread and I thought 'why not upload it here'. Also, good to see the old girl running again. The engines used this past week were the DMU, Rat, Repton and 76079, so its nice to have a slight change. Also, I did see the railtour running today on the webcam, but didn't think to get a screencap of it. Also, it was using the Esk Valley Line, so the picture wouldn't have been much cop anyway.
  20. Excellent thread Pj. I was very suprised to find this actually, as I've recently spent 3 summer holidays at a site round the corner from the station, and having enjoyed myself on all 3 occasions, I'm planning my own layout of the station in 00. Haven't started work yet, as space in the house is rather limited, and I'm also no builder (I mainly deal with locos and rolling stock), so I'll definitely need outside help for that, but nonetheless, I've taken a great interest in this thread, and I'm actually glad there'll soon be a layout of the station, cause it really deserves one. Also, as a point of reference, given EM and 00 gauges are both slightly different (I have looked the differences up), will EM scale buildings work on a 00 scale layout or not? Like I said though, excellent thread, looking forward to more. Mark
